Quinnipiac Bobcats 2022-23: The Quest Continues...

Cleary Cup clinched! That's the first of 3 checkmarks on the board this year. Keep it going!
I believe their pre-season goals were 6:

Friendship Four ✔️
Connecticut Ice ✔️
Cleary Cup ✔️
Whitelaw Cup
Regional Champ
National Champ

The easy ones are done. Lots of work left to do.

Wow, what an impressive streak! Myself, I think I missed only 2 or 3 home games since the 2006-07 season. (I too don't count the Covid season without fans)

Hope you feel better, Mark. Missed seeing you wave the flag from across the rink last night!
Thanks Drew. It was very hard watching from home last night.

Thankfully Deb and I are hanging in there. Both of us have what amounts to really bad head colds. Lots of fluids, Tylenol, and time...

We can also add the Heroes Hat if you want to make it 7 :)

Anybody else thought it was disrespectful of Yale to skate off the ice before the Heroes Hat was awarded? Do they not take what it represents seriously? Usually in college hockey both teams are to remain on the ice when any trophy is awarded.

At least UConn showed respect back when it awarded during the QU vs. UConn MAAC-AHA days.

Lipkin is on a different planet this weekend. Holy smokes, if he keeps that up we’ll be in good shape in the postseason

No doubt. What a great weekend for him. I hope this Lipkin hangs around for the rest of the season.

He seems to be growing weekly, and appears to be a good locker room guy. Having Graf step in hasn’t hurt. Great depth. They are ready for a good run. Lots of good teams out there, this could be an amazing tournament.

Congrats on the Cleary Cup. Good fortune in the nationals

All the Union fans I spoke to tonight at Messa Rink said they're pulling for us in the NCAAs. Very cool.

Back in 2014, after QU was eliminated in the NCAAs, I jumped on the Union bandwagon. Why? Because I too love seeing the ECAC succeed on the national stage!

If we win tomorrow night, we're going to finish the conference season with a 20-2-0 record. Does that rank among the best seasons in league history? I couldn't find it on the ECAC website, but I'm sure they keep those stats. It would seem to me that winning 20 of 22 conference games is pretty rare in this conference. It's obviously the best season we've ever had since moving into the ECAC.

Just a remarkable regular season. Hopefully nine more wins left this season!

Got an answer to my question thanks to the RPI broadcast. The last time an ECAC team won 20 games was Harvard in the 1980s.

That poke check by Perets directly into the highlight-reel goal to make it 3-1. Holy cow. What a damn sequence. Such a fun team to watch this season. Even when they're kind of going through the motions, they find a way. I

20-2-0 regular season in the ECAC. Just outstanding. I know the league was soft this year, but it's one of the greatest regular seasons in ECAC history.

Impressive regular season run by the Bobcats!

Always great to win on the road and weekend sweeps are great, but they didn't seem to play their best hockey this weekend. They did what they needed to do to win both games but weren't crisp. The games don't get any easier from here and will require their absolute best effort going forward.

A new season starts now.

Not surprised they didnt turn in full 60 min games this weekend. That’s human nature. Good to get a week off and Rand will make them feel like they haven’t won anything yet before the quarterfinal weekend. We are well positioned and need to now kick it into the next gear.

Favorite time of the year in Hamden, postseason hockey.

As a Cornell fan, living here in CT, I wanted to swing by and say congratulations on an amazing regular season. Unreal in so many ways. Best of luck getting to LP, competing there and making noise in the NCAA's. At this point it has to be Tampa or bust. Good luck, no pressure! :)
