Quinnipiac Bobcats 2021-22 - Let's get this party started!

As a fan, I’d love to see the guys crush teams night after night. In reality, these are D1 programs with good coaches. A “W” at Houston FH is a good win on any day, Especially in the ECAC. Perets isn’t seeing a lot of rubber, credit to the Defense, but even in chaotic situations he seems to maintain composure. Protecting a 1 goal lead last night, RPI had a few quality chances and came up empty thanks to strong D and Perets.

One other thing I’ve noticed all season is TJ is a Royal PITA to opposing PP. It may not show on the score sheet but his ability to disrupt the other teams flow is key to PK success.

Hopefully a good night tonight at Union and home with 6 more ECAC points for Christmas!

RPI is not a bottom ECAC team. They're in 5th right now. Playing a competitive game against them rather than blowing them out isn't really a big deal

They are 5th because the rest of the ECAC stinks but I’m not sure they are really average. One quality win over Clarkson and that’s it. Every other win has been against an also ran.

Bobcats were the superior team from beginning to end. LIU packed it in tight and blocked a lot of shots but eventually the goals came.

Northwell is a cool place to watch a game, you're really on top of the action. It is the NY Islanders practice rink and is considered by many to be the best practice facility in the NHL.

Watching the stream it looked like we had a little trouble with LIU's size and physicality. They did a good job of not giving us decent looks at the net, and when they did their goalie bailed them out. We were certainly faster and more skilled and the game was much closer than the 4-1 score indicated.

There was no replay bit it looked like we put their goal in net... seemed that Van Ness tried to sweep the loose puck to Perets and pushed it right past him. A shame for him to give one up that way but nice to see it didn't rattle him or the team.

I expected the win but not really surprised that it was close. Looking at their schedule, LIU has played some decent teams close. As usual as the the game progresses, The Coach B factor becomes more evident. On the stream the lighting in the arena looked horrific. Shadows all over the place and that big video board at the end reflecting off the ice. I guess we can say Perets still hasn’t been beaten by another team in about 4 games :).

I don’t expect much to change tonight. Hopefully a W in pull away fashion. I didn’t realize the Welsh twins transferred there from Yale.

LIU did do a good job of not giving us good looks and their goalie made some saves.

I don't think the game was closer than the score. Shots were 29-11. And LIU blocked 14 shots. Posession and zone time had to be very lopsiddd. Perets did not have to work hard at all and yes, Van Ness put the puck into our net.

Good win to close out the first half of the season. Last night was much easier than Friday. 14-1-3 to start the season is impressive. They need to use the down time to work on the PP along with the offense becoming just more consistent from game to game. The next 4 games should all be wins with Princeton twice and Brown/Yale.

Definitely fed off the energy in the building and even changing up the lineup, LIU looked tired. This team has one heck of a motor. Agree on the PP. Also, need to get control of the emotions. Taking a few too many emotional penalties. They can get away with that against LIU, not sure about Harvard & Cornell. St Cyr made a couple nice saves and wasn’t too adventurous out of the net. I doubt he worked up a sweat on 11 shots. He could’ve taken a nap in the 3rd.
