Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Team looked Good, not great last night. What I liked was there was less panic in their play even after falling behind.
It was encouraging to see them keep their foot in it instead going to full-out panic mode. When Priske tied it with that laser you could see the confidence they had (SLU also seemed to pack it in at that point).

No idea what kept KP from dressing last night, hopefully nothing serious. But I think it helped Shortridge focus on what was coming at him from the Ice rather than worrying about a hook coming if he gave up a soft goal.
I didn't even notice KP wasn't dressed and the SLU announcers never mentioned anything. Without the benefit of replay it was tough to see either goal Shorty gave up, but he did look a bit more comfortable between the pipes than he's been.

They got the help they needed last night. Now they have have their fate in their own hands.
As I said earier: just WIN!

Let’s Go Bobcats
Go Q!

The first goal took a weird bounce off the end boards and right to the St. Lawrence player. Nothing he could do on that one.

OK, I was wrong, they did not get swept. They looked better losing to Clarkson than they did winning against SLU. I saw some very good team play in the 1st period and a bit in the 2nd, too. 3rd period was the sub .500 team......OK, so they now get a chance to run the table in the post season and gives us all something to do next weekend. They are good kids. Sort of glad this season is stuttering to a conclusion, but the post-season is essentially a new season and the old kids and coaching staff know this all too well. If they could get consistent play like we saw bits of tonight, they may surprise some people OR not. Safe trip home and good night to all.

Regardless of record, or how we finished, it's now a brand new season. Short trip down the road to our rivals. Put together a couple of wins and we get to play the following weekend. Play hard and leave it all on the ice!

3rd goal was clearly offsides on replay. Rand must have gone nuts...
New season like our chances...I would rather watch hockey than baseball

This is the first time since our inaugural ECAC season, 2005-2006, that we don't get a home playoff series.

We've been really spoiled, but no reason the season has to end in New Haven -- Yale is very not good. Take care of business, get to the second round, take our chances from there.

I personally think this is the best path to Lake Placid. I agree that Yale isn't very good and Quinnipiac can knock them out. If they do that then most likely it will be Cornell and they played them to 2 one goal games this year and have played really well in the past at Lynah.
