Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Schaefer will continue to try and run up the score, bad blood there.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

I hear ya. Going into the third the Vegas over under is 12. ;)
Second bet is who will score more tonight, Cornell or the rest of the ECAC games combined? ;)

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

Ugh... nothing to say about that one. Hopefully they can forget and come back strong tomorrow.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

mark, i have grown to really like you, because you are a real fan and now I really salute you. i could not bring myself to say i even want to watch tomorrow because it may be the same. Oh, Shortridge is going to be better OR Cornell is NOT going to be the #2 team in the country.....oh, Cornell only bat Quinnipiac 2 times by 1 goal each time. And tonight, they put their manhood on the line and all we fans saw was diaper rash and dirty drawers on the ice. Quinnipiac players, coaches and fans were schooled on how good teams play and how bad teams play....no excuses, you do not belong on the same ice, the same arena, the same ethos as Cornell, this year. end of season, lose it respectable tomorrow and you can go home and not think what a waste of a hockey season this was. I am looking forward to the QUAlum blog, he usually is pretty good, but they need new blood and some muscle on D. no one is afraid to face the bobcats at all and it showed. this was the worst D1 beat-down I have seen in post season play and it was a beat down full of bad blood, from years of bobcat gloating.

That was difficult to watch.....Shaffer class act could have scored 2 or 3 more in 3rd. We were manhandled in front of net. TV Announcer said its happened to Q before and they came back to win. I will sleep on that announcers thought and hold out hope for Sat and Sunday. Where was Shortridge?

Shortridge hasn’t dressed since Loss at Clarkson when KP sat out.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2017-18: Chase the dream...

That was... unexpected.

Tomorrow will be an entirely new game. Q is far too good and far too talented for this to be anything but an anomaly, and Pecknold is extremely good at countermeasures. I think tomorrow will be a one-goal game that could go either way.

Also, kudos to Q for not getting frustrated and going headhunting. That game situation is brutally embarrassing and all too often guys lose their heads. I salute the coaching staff and players of Q for keeping perspective that 9-1 and 2-1 are the same. We'll see a much better game tomorrow.

I take it that you weren't around when Quinnipiac beat Cornell 10-0 in the 2013 ECAC Quarterfinals.

Fun stat: in the two routs the two teams combined in the second periods for a total of 13 goals: the equivalent pace of one 19.5 goal game.

You must have missed the 11-0 loss QU suffered in Game 1 of the 2008 ECAC QF against Harvard.
