Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

If that was Rand's game plan, he's a genius. If not, we're in trouble. Between the lineup changes (Logan Mick in, Scott Davidson out) and the style of play, it made for an interesting game. I really think Rand was saving the team for tomorrow. Speaking of which...

Davidson has not been good this year. He has 6 assists in 25 games. Last year he had 9 goals and 6 assists all season. I expected him to improve upon that.

No insight yet but my feeling is it could be a mutual decision. He hasn't really progressed to where we thought he would. Started the year in the USHL with Cedar Rapids. Was part of a major house cleaning there and was shipped to Topeka of the NAHL.

To bad as he is a very talented young player, still see as an impact D1 player. If it was mutual Q made a mistake unless off ice stuff, which I doubt as quality kid

Will land somewhere and do very we'll

I've heard some rumblings it was some off ice issues.

Very hard pressed to believe that, type of kid who would not put himself in a situation to do that. Maybe off ice means falling out with Cedar Raoids coach over the fact the team was a train wreck and they are running roster like a garage sale, but nothing else. Carlson is a quality coach and I could see teams supporting him

Whoever picks him up will be getting a top 9 very good player, prob higher

Excuse me for interrupting, but isn't there somebody that you are supposed to be beating tonight? Except for a couple of instances I'm not hearing much about it. Is everyone not paying attention? Time for role call!

Oh, by the way........BEAT YALE!

Hey QUAlum2004, I must of have been bored last night as the Big Green were off last night so I tuned in and watched a bit of your game vs Yale. The only difference in your roller coaster season compared to ours is that you guys have had many more highs and can sustain. I liked how #8 Whelan? moves; he looks very comfortable skating with the puck. On another note, I know you guys are pretty potent on O especially your PP featuring high slot tip ins but why such disparity on the plus/minuses for a good team. Most teams of your caliber have great plus/minuses up and down the lineup. Nice game last night!

Whelan is a little spark plug. Very aggressive and always seems to be near the puck. Plays both ends of the ice. If he continues to develop and improve he'll be a very potent offensive weapon in the next few years.

Our PP simply hasn't been as potent as it's needed to be. Overall we've had some offensive slumps and defensive mistakes that caused us to lose games we probably should have won. Something is missing and even at this stage of the season it's tough to figure out exactly what it is.

Nice game last night!
Thanks... always nice to #BeatYale! ;)
