Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

A very tired, sluggish hockey club that does not belong in the top 30. This team is worse than their record (not actually sure if that is so, but it feels good to say!) and Clarkson is better than theirs, which somehow makes sense to me tonight! UGH, please do not tell me losing coach Reid is the reason but their is no fizz OR pop on this team.....ok, there are a few of the supporting cast from last few years but they need infusion or their glory years are behind us all.....

Another 2 points lost this weekend. This team is really struggling to find consistency.

They have 14 players that are minus players this season compared to 1 last year and the 1 was Craig Martin who played 18 games all season.

A great first, a terrible second, and not enough time in the third. Inconsistent again as has been the norm most of the year. The difference tonight was not being able to capitalize on the major. The PP has been atrocious this year.

Anyone know the deal with Taverner? His name is already gone from the online roster.

It is almost 2 different teams. Took dumb penalty end of fiirst, Clarkson starts 2nd man up, scored as penalty released, team collapsed until late in 3rd. Team never gets any puck bounce....never this season. Puck bounces over sticks...weird. Agree on PP...change it up? # 13 only player that has earned his spot on PP this season.

No inside info yet but this smells of off ice reasons. Players don't leave in February if they are transferring. They leave in December. Something had to haopen here.

Nothing on elite prospects concerning him going to another team.

Heard he's still in Hamden but no word as to why he's no longer on the team.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Very hard pressed to believe that, type of kid who would not put himself in a situation to do that. Maybe off ice means falling out with Cedar Raoids coach over the fact the team was a train wreck and they are running roster like a garage sale, but nothing else. Carlson is a quality coach and I could see teams supporting him

Whoever picks him up will be getting a top 9 very good player, prob higher

I have head that Topeka tried to trade him to multiple NAHL teams and DeRoche refused to report so they shipped him to the Atlanta Capitols of the NA3HL. I'd be surprised if he is going to get offers now after this.

And for the first time in 5 or more years we fall out of the USCHO top 20.

I have not seen this team play this year in person so do not know much about them, but I can sympathize with QU fans this year, heart breaking! This team is racing to the bottom, season end will be merciful ending. A bit of me hopes this is just some type of phase and they'll turn it up 2-3 notches in post season, but I am now convinced we're watching a team that is missing the championship elements we got a bit spoiled with the past few seasons.

I would love a "fan's fan" opinion on what is going on here, please. Is it that Coach Reid left and the void is his players not playing for Rand? Is it Rand (no one would dare go there, including me!)?

Now I know how Duke men's and UCONN women's basketball fans feel!! We had our shot but that kid from Harvard (Esposito) Cheap Shot Sam and he wasn't the same the rest of the playoffs and with him, we had shot against that pro team from North Dakota!
