Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

I will instead talk about the experience I had this weekend.
I was so glad to hear you were driving down knowing Brian and Kyle were there. I remember the 3 of you in Pittsburgh and wanted you to get redemption in Tampa. Didn't work out that way but know that we will get ours soon (and hopefully I'll be there).

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Sorry I'm late to post. Great seeing a lot of old faces that I haven't seen all year. Thought the Q contingency was pretty good and that we represented well.

As for the team, tough way for it to end but what a remarkable season. Another Cleary Cup, our first Whitelaw, and another Frozen Four is something that felt so distant 6 years ago. Amazing that we come to expect at least one of the three every year now. Certainly a thank you goes to the seniors for being the winningest class in program history. TSD is one of the most under appreciated players in the entire country. He made a multitude of massive plays over his career and played 6 inches taller than his actual height. Garteig will leave as the best goalie we ever had. After the Lowell game his sophomore year in which we raised the banners, I told my friend sitting next to me, "He wont ever have a year like Hartzell, but he will have a better career when its all said an done." I certainly got that one right. Soren, a bright student, who is the type of kid we want everyone to be like. AMB didn't have too great of a season but was versatile in his 4 years. As for Hilbrich and Meyers, we know they were leaders to this team and pushed them everyday in practice and that is invaluable.

I certainly agree we need a couple more high end kids to compete with a loaded team like NoDak. But our system is what has got us here so we need to get higher end system kids. Having Tim Clifton as an example to some late bloomers will sure be helpful. Still can't believe more teams wern't interested in him. I believe we were the only ones to offer. Love that.

Another year in the books. My fifth as a fan. Love what has been built and the way we are projecting as a program!

I am honored to announce my commitment to play college hockey at Quinnipiac University. Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way.

Dom Fensore (01) commits to Quinnipiac. Very speedy skater, great lateral agility. Quick on the puck, fast hands in transition. #NTDPwatch

new recruit

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

As a (fairly) neutral observer, and a guy rooting for QU, I have to allow that things shook-out pretty equitably. The Bobcats were better than BC, and maybe a quarter-step behind UND. The 'tending was all about ND, but nobody is going to win with any regularity having scored but one goal.

Very nice season just the same; such a fun team to watch.

How is the AJHL anyways, is it a strong league ?

Right now it looks like they have 80 NHL Draftees playing in the league. I know that there are about 12 future college players on the Bandits with Mick and O'Connor. I think it's used as a stepping stone for sure, how strong compared to the BCHL and USHL I'm not totally sure. Sam Anas played for Youngstown and so did Kyle Connor if that helps judge the league a little bit.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Ok ty for the info, I asked because Colgate has three or four recruits from there.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

In terms of juniors I'd say it's the USHL followed by the BCHL and then the AJHL.

www.Eliteprospects.com list of former and incoming players, the stats list does not copy and paste well but from left to right it is Games Played, Goals, Assists, Total Points, Penalty minutes. The list is sorted by age oldest to youngest.

Thrilled for Sam, but ... that hurts. He would have been one of the best players in college hockey next year.

Quinnipiac juniors Devon Toews, Sam Anas, Tim Clifton and Connor Clifton all have NHL offers on the table. Hearing one, so far, will sign

Great news for Anas, Sad news for us Bobcat fans.

I am really hoping the other three decide to stay another year
