Just home from the banquet and those are next year's captains.

The team awards were:

MVP: Michael Garteig

Rookie of the Year: Chase Priske

Coaches Award: Tom Hilbrich and Devon Toews

7th Player: Tim Clifton

Academic Award: Soren Jonzzen and Derek Smith

As usual, the seniors were recognized and given framed jerseys along with Sam Anas and Devon Toews.

The surprise of the night was Rand giving Tom Hilbrich a 2nd jersey (in addition to his framed senior jersey) with an 'A' on it in recognition for all he did in the locker room and off the ice. His teammates led the standing ovation that followed. I can't remember seeing a standing o at the banquet before. Rand said he decided Tom deserved it back in early January but was afraid to mess with the mojo at that point in the season. I think it was a great gesture on his part as all I've ever heard was that Hilbrich was a special kid that did whatever he had to for the team. A great honor for a kid that only started 3 games in his career.

Next season will include home games with Northeastern (2), UConn (1), and Arizona State (2). We'll be on the road at Maine (2), and BU (1), in addition to the tourney in Pittsburgh with Boston College, Robert Morris, and Ferris State, as well as the Friendship Four in Ireland.

Another great end to a great season of Bobcats hockey.

Is it October yet?

I'm pretty sure Arizona State is on the road. I heard we were going to them this coming year.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - The post-season journey...

Rand said ASU at home for 2... only 5 home OoC games due to the 2 tourneys.

That must have been a last minute change then as they were suppose to go to ASU this year. They will probably owe ASU some games in the desert in the future.
