9 to 5 in this weeks USCHO.com poll
While I'm trying to shake the image of Dolly Parton from my brain, all I can say is that's nice, but let's hope it doesn't go to their heads. It's a meaningless ranking this early in the season. They need to be focused on the game ahead of them and not worry about where they are in the polls or pairwise.

Thomas Aldworth and Chase Priskie are 94 points away from joining as well. ;)
It would be nice to see another defenseman up on the banner. Hopefully Aldy will be here long enough to get to the century mark.

That's why they have Rand to keep them focused. This is for us fans to get excited about. Rand ain't the type of coach who is going to let them sleep walk.

I think this weekend should be fun. Show Colgate and Cornell a lot of speed and I don't think we will have an issue. Colgate gets themselves in trouble racking up a ton of penalties already this season. Cornell had a great warm-up weekend against Niagara but I don't think they will be ready for how fast and strong Q is.

Harvard and Yale both look faster and stronger than last year. Yale looks like they are the definite front runner this year in the ECAC, that is based on just two games but they looked really good. Harvard had no problem dismantling Dartmouth. Friday should be smash mouth between Yale and Harvard... two freight trains colliding!

RATM is really getting me excited for League play right now!

I was looking through the numbers and it appears that Travis St. Denis will very sneakily join the 100 point club. The senior is at 84 career points which seems rather high. I would've guess more around the 75 point mark. Either way, hats off to Travis. Sam Anas will also join the 100 point club this year. He's at 90 right now. Thomas Aldworth and Chase Priskie are 94 points away from joining as well. ;)

You went and did it now! Kiss of death. Somebody is going to get a season ending injury to prevent that from happening, and it's all your fault! ;)

In all seriousness, I hope both our squads are at full health for the first battle in a few weeks.

F Daniel Winslow (5’9″ 155) from Avon Old Farms, seems to have grown from his early season listing. He showed creativity and forced opposing defenses to pay close attention whenever he was on the ice for team blue. Winslow really enjoys the one-on-one game and stands out from the crowd on the rush where he can take the puck deep or fire off a quick wrister.

“I’m going to focus on doing the little things right defensively before I focus on scoring goals or getting assists,” Aldworth said. “I want to make sure that my own end is cleaned up before I try to play another team’s end. So I don’t have any prediction point-wise or anything like that… I just want to win games.”

These are the words of a leader. I can really see this kid staying 4 years.

Good road series this weekend with Colgate and Cornell. Central New York has been good to us of the past few seasons so let's hope that trend continues. Good, solid defense in front of Garts is a must. Offense needs to keep doing what they've been doing. Play hard for 60 minutes.

Go Q!

We look like crap in the first two periods. The constant neutral zone turnovers are what tied this game up. Puck possession got a tad better in the second but still not consistent.

Thank God for Gartieg!

A nice 2 points on the road tonight even if it was a poor effort. Team was lazy in the 2nd period giving up 2 quick goals. Need to clean that up for tomorrow night and get 2 more points at Cornell.

Not their best effort by a long shot but a win is a win. Hopefully it was just a little rust from the week off. They did seem to come alive in the third and really stifled 'Gate. Garteig was good again, though I think he should have had the 2nd goal... those are the ones he needs to steal. Good to see Tim Clifton back but I thought not having Davidson out there was noticeable... not many crushing blows delivered by the boys in blue.

It seems like teams have figured out they need to neutralize Anas and Aldworth as both have seen lots of double-teaming. That's ok since we have so many other offensive weapons. The guys that stood out to me tonight were Canon Peiper, Tim Clifton, and Devon Toews. Solid play from all three.

Rest up and take it to the Big Red tomorrow night.
