That's awesome (as was that hit) but the GIF doesn't loop for me... one time start to finish. Is that on my end or is that the GIF?

If you right-click on the video you can choose to loop it. That's if you are a PC of course.

I can replay it but not get it to loop. No biggie... I can live with it the way it is.

Yeah... I looked at the programming code and there is no loop quantity written into the video poster line, that's what is not allowing you to loop.

Remember when this thread used to be a couple of us riding the high of 2012-2013 and people coming on to congratulate us. That was fun but I prefer the newer threads when people come on here, unprovoked, and say outlandish things like our friend Drunk Sioux here.

I agree in part about our OOC schedule at this point. Couple good tests (SCSU, BU) but still some cellar HE teams in there.

Let's look at UND's OOC schedule: Lake State (haha), Maine (cellar HE), Vermont (mid to cellar HE), Hunstville (maybe the worst team in the country but Lake State will put up a good fight with them for that title), Wisconsin (will battle OSU for cellar of B1G), Bemidji (quality WCHA), Michigan St (quality B1G).

Tell me whats impressive about that. Chances are pretty high that not one of those teams will make the NCAA tournament.

The thing we are forgetting here though is when you are the two most winning programs over the last 3 years, you don't need to schedule hard opponents in OOC. Thats part of the territory including more home games. You have respect and you play in strong conferences. You dont see Alabama football going out and scheduling Florida State or Oregon. They play Louisiana-Monroe and Middle Tennessee and throw in a huge money maker game in Jerry World against Wisconsin.

Hello Sioux-perDrunk ... I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet, to go over everything. They say time is supposed to heal you, but I ain't done much healing since we both didn't beat Yale in '13.

I suppose you are just in Grand Forks dreaming about how you used to be. When you were younger, freer and still had Parise.

There is such a difference between us and 1,597.8 miles.

But seriously - This new Adele song is too good. You're welcome Schvatz.

Hoping to get ND to Hamden someday!

Had an absolute blast this weekend. Too early to compare this team to that one from a few years back, but it's hard not to think about the similarities. Let's hope there is no AIC loss in the shadows. Great to see the familiar faces this weekend and I'm looking forward to getting back a few more times this year!

En fuego, Larson. En fuego.

I mean no disrespect when I say this, but ... why should we care what fans of other teams think about our team?

If they want to sleep on the Bobcats, that's fine.

If they want to demean the Bobcats, who cares.

The only thing I care about is what happens on the 200x85. The only thing I care about is how the boys play every weekend. I couldn't care less what fans of North Dakota think about my team. Enjoy your season, hopefully we'll see you in March.

I thought this column on CHN by Ryan Lambert was well thought out: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2015/10/27_second_thoughts.php

Discusses importance of coaching/system vs. recruiting/skill at the college level, using QU as main example for the coaching/system piece.

I enjoyed reading that and for the most part it was spot on. I think that the biggest difference now is the fact that teams like QU keep their players for 4 years. You build a solid team that way, more to fight for. I also believe that Q is about 3 - 4 more very successful years from landing some top tier recruits, just surprised they haven't landed one yet.

posted at 3:19 AM - you see, Mark, this is why everyone likes you on here. You wake up in the middle of the night thinking about Bobcat hockey!
What can I say? It's an obsession! ;)

Good piece on the USCHO home page this morning as well.

Let's just hope that all the hype and press doesn't go to their heads. They still need to go out and play hard each and every game.

Another article from Ryan Lambert, digging into the numbers behind QU's strong start: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...old-tricks--bc-figuring-it-out-214445215.html

From the article:

'If Gartieg can keep up anything resembling that number [.945 at full strength] for the remainder of the season, Quinnipiac goes from “very probable NCAA tournament appearance” to “really scary national title contender” in a hurry'

dammit. must have missed the link, thought you were referring to the one on the uscho front page.
I see that links aren't easy to see. I'll let you slide this one time. ;)

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-15 - Another journey begins...

I think it is ridiculous that QU is ranked 9th nationally when we are 1st in the pairwise. We have the strongest RPI at .8764 and are tied for the best record with #3 nationally ranked Nebraska-Omaha at 6-0. QU's thrashing of Maine and Saint Cloud twice should have put us in the top five. That's okay. We will work our way up like we did in 2012-2013.
