Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats '12-'13 - Go fourth and conquer!

Do either of the 5 minute major/game misconducts come with a one game suspension?

Both say "Game Misconduct", so not based upon the initial call. If it were "Game Disqualification", it would include a suspension. However, I believe there is a new rule either this year or starting a couple years ago that if you incur three game misconducts in a year, you are issued a one-game suspension.

Not to get too far ahead of us and/or jinx anything, there's a conversation that we can probably safely have at this point. Would you rather QU hold on to a NCAA tournament regional number 1 seed (as they are in control of now) and most likely end up out in the West (Grand Rapids) or Midwest (Ohio) regions of the tournament, or drop a few spots (games) and end up as a regional 2 seed and be more likely to play in either the Northeast regional (Manchester) or East region (Providence)? I'm definitely no expect on the NCAA tournament seeding but with UNH (tied for 1 in the Pairwise) locked into playing in Manchester as a host school and BC (also tied for 1) a highly likely destination for Providence, as a fan, what would you guys rather see? I (selfishly) would be more than thrilled by QU as a regional 2 seed and playing in Providence or Manchester (and obviously being able to have fan support) rather than QU being a 1 seed far off from pretty much any support student/fan/or otherwise. Thoughts?

I just want them to win the next game they are playing. Then, go win the next game. Everything else will work itself out.

Thanks, Mark. What are you going to do without Quinnipiac hockey this weekend?

I’ll be doing the same, wishing Harvard well, and hoping for a lot of ties in the other league games.

Yeah, I got to say... as cool as it would be to have QU near home, just win. Maybe UNH or BC fall out of the #1 seeds and we can sneak into either Manchester or Providence. We're so long to go before the end of the season, a short losing streak by either of those teams and they could fall into a 2-seed. Then we'd get their spot in the East. So, just win. Everything will sort itself out.

Chickens have not hatched yet, you guys have a few tough games upcoming. I don't see it happening either, but you never know? Actually, you would probably be better off as a two seed anyway.

Congrats, but the season isn't over yet. You still have to hold that for two more months. Be sure that you beat UCONN, as that will help that glaring loss against AIC look not so bad (although it's also good that AIC isn't a TUC, losing to UCONN could hurt your comparison against RMU).

Your are absolutely right, long, long way to go!!! But this is HUGE milestone for the growth of the Braves/Bobcats program.

I am friends with former Coach Jimmy Kennedy, he is like a proud grampa when I see him at the games.
