Another huge weekend at the Bank! But it's one game at a time so tonight they need to focus on RPI and not let the Engineers last place ECAC standing lull them into complacency. Come out firing like they have been and play a solid game. You can do this boys!

Just gotta skate for all 60 minutes and you'll have no problem with RPI. Think I'm officially a QU believer .I was impressed with the games I saw on NESN last weekend. See you in the NCAA's

I've been on campus all week and I just wanted to drop in and say that this team is all that anyone is talking about. Hartzell is starting to get some votes in the Hobey Fan Vote which is fun to see. It doesn't mean anything really to get those votes, but it is fun to talk about it. A kid here made a Hartzell For Hobey shirt that anyone can order. See y'all tonight.

Not sure what happened last night, but they defintiely left a point on the ice. Both goalies were outstanding and so were the pipes! Q had plenty of chances but couldn't find a way past Merriam. Lots of weak passes and miffed shots, too. Tonight they'll need to come out and play a much more solid game at both ends.

Understatement of the season! Union had us dead to rights. The 4-on-3, 5-on-3, 4-on-3 kill to start the 3rd was huge and shifted all the momentum our way and the boys responded by taking it to Union all over the ice. What a come back... definitely a huge confidence booster as we played poorly most of the weekend. They showed a bunch of grit and determination, but, more importantly, a whole lot of heart!

Referees were absolutely atrocious. That Baker guy is a joke.
As for the game, I said it to a couple people during the long PK to open the third, "if they kill this off they'll win." You could tell, as soon as the period began, the Bobcats were ****ed off on the bench. From my seat in the corner, you could hear them on the bench going crazy for every clear. Everyone was standing up, the Union bench was sitting down. The entire feeling in that building changed when we killed that thing off. Just tremendous work.
Really like how they simplified things in the third. They did a much, much better job of funneling to the net. Pucks and bodies, everything was just going right to the net. That's how they got the last two goals, rebound goals that Grosenick couldn't control. Really good work on those goals. Hard-work, gritty goals.
One more thing -- the TDBSC is becoming a hockey building. I've never heard boos for officials like that at a Quinnipiac hockey game. And, the fans were cheering every clear on the PK, oohing and aahing near-misses... when I graduated in 2008, you never heard any of that, especially from the non-students. Really impressed with how hockey-savvy our crowd has become. Not to mention, the raucous cheering during goals -- I've never heard anything from that when students aren't there.
Finally, really good to see everyone there today. Luke, Mark, everyone. Had a blast at the game. This team is for real.

I had to watch the video archive to see for myself. The St. Denis incident was not on camera but Kotsopoulos was adamant that it wasn't 5-worthy. The 2nd major on Connor Jones looked like a good mid-ice hit but they claimed it was an elbow to the head.
Whatever, it's the ECAC and we're all used to this. It's a shame the kids on the ice can't play the game. In the end, though, the majors were a blessing to us as it clearly was the turning point in the game and we were able to accomplish a remarkable comeback on the Dutchmen.
Lots of bad calls both ways. Baker and LeBlanc wanted to be noticed (just like Kotyra last night). Even linesman Patry made a call (the major on St. Denis). Terrible ECAC officiating. We took 2 majors/misconducts in the last minute of the 2nd. Union started the 3rd with 1:22 of 4-on-3 that then became 3:00 of 5-on-3 followed by a short 5-on-4... and we manged to kill it all off! Both calls were questionable. Definitely penalties but worthy of 5 each? No way. The boos that rained down after the 2nd major was called were the loudest I've ever heard at the Bank, and the students weren't even there!
