These kids work their tails off but have no real shooter on the team......they don't quit and thankfully we have a great goalie......they do deserve better and need more than Gorman unless there are three of him coming

Go the the Athletic Office and insist that they reserve the entire section for PC Students, tell them what happened and we all know there are plenty of seats open all over the rink

Well like, they weren't in the TRUE student section (i think that's section T?) but they were in that mini section next to where the camera guy is. above the guest penalty box. Could that be cordoned off just for students too? I think some people have season tickets there...

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

I know most of you have been going to games for a very long time. What are some old student traditions that have fallen by the wayside? I want to attempt to revive a few of them, because frankly I'm sick of going to a game where there's very little fan support. I know the games used to be really fun and really packed, so does anyone have any suggestions about how to revive the old atmosphere?

Winning. Get the clown who runs the music to not play it so the crowd can get cheering. I have posted 989060298760748264 times about it. There will be an exciting stretch of play. The crowd starts with lets go Friars only to be drowned out with build me up buttercup.

Where was the band tonight? I remember them being there for both BU games last year. Although it wasn't your typical college band, I enjoyed it and thought it at least added some atmosphere.

The team plays hard and i feel bad for the seniors. Does anyone know why the Ferullo kid has not seen the ice? I watched him play with the Monarchs last year, he is a good player...

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

Don't even get me started on senior night. I'm so upset. It's so disrespectful to the hockey seniors.

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

Well, it looks like you guys will miss the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. Not to rub it in, but this is lower than anything under Pooley. That being said, I feel like PC has been more competitive this year than last year--I recall a few games where they haven't been able to hold leads/lost in OT. Do you guys see a light at the end of the tunnel? Or does the fact that you have six contributing seniors mean that next year could be worse?

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

The light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train, we have no leadership from the AD down to the incoming freshmen who we all feel bad for before they get here......this team is a harder working team than last years but they have no pure shooters and really no good coaching.....Beaudry is all that keeps us in games and Gates is also a decent goal tender, lose them and its all over

How are you rubbing it in? LOL. We all know it.

At this rate Army is dangerousy close to breaking his 1 win after January 16th mark (two straight seasons running). Right now they have 0 wins since January 16th, and none in the conference since November 5th.

Their offense is utterly anemic -- and I'd say over the last couple of weeks it's been as bad as it's ever been. Either they have zero talent offensively or Army has no concept of coaching it. Pick your poison.

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

The Friars have 4 games left and must win all four in order to make the playoffs. I feel that they have to win at LEAST two games in order to save some amount of face.

They are playing UML which is actually having a rougher season than PC and they are playing the Mack. They have an outside shot of splitting with each team as two of the four games are being played at home and everyone wants to end on a good note.

I hope to see some of you at what should be my final games at PC unless something major changes.

PC13 Keep up the good work!!! Most of us old timers are proud of the students' efforts and we realize how challenging it is to try to get ANYTHING positive going for the hockey program with ZERO help from this joke of an athletic department.

PC will sweep Lowell this weekend then Lowell will sweep Vermont the final weekend. That leaves PC in the 8 seed with a first round matchup at MC.

New recruit from The Hampton School...

Re: Providence College 2010-2011 - Things are looking up.

Some sobering stats as we enter the final two weekends...

-PC has 12 wins in their last 77 Hockey East games (12-50-15)

-PC is winless in their last 24 Hockey East road games (last win: at Umass, October 31st, 2009)

-PC won 1 game after January 16th in 2009
-PC won 1 game after January 16th in 2010
-PC has won 0 games after January 16th in 2011

-Of all Division 1 programs, only Alabama-Huntsville and Harvard have scored fewer goals (tied with Bowling Green for 3rd worst in nation)

-Army's record at PC is now 65-114-27
-Will be the first Friar coach to put together 4 straight losing seasons
