PrimeLink Shootout

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

STANDING ROOM ONLY - seats are sold out.

For the PrimeLink many home ice fans only go to there teams game, in this case Norwich vs Stout. So as long as are willing to move in case the ticketholder arrives chances are you can get a great seat for the Plattsburgh/Middlebury game. Middlebury usually draws more than Plattsburgh and with the hype this tournament has enjoyed the first game could have more people that usual.

There was a little play on words in my posting as well. "Is It Just Me?" is the title of Ducky's frequent commentaries about local issues here in the -burgh.

I'll bet all the local posters caught it !!

And one more thing, put as gently as I am able: All caps postings and replies tend to mean that the sender is shouting. Hopefully you weren't shouting at me.

Wally, Didn't mean to shout ... just a weird keyboard that sometimes jumps into cAPS WITHOUT MY NOTICING IT ... see! ;)

As for the line "Is it just me?" ... I live in Burlington and listen in to WIRY quite often ... so I'm well aware of the Duck's commentaries.

Anyway ... no shouting ... at least until we all get to Kreitzberg ... when there stop by the booth and say hi.

And after the link became useable again I listened to your excellent interview with Ducky. With all due respect, there is no one better than he is at calling play by play.

A quick 'Ducky" story: A number of years ago, I arranged and paid for (quite a bit I might add) a 2 hour WIRY remote broadcast from my business. I asked that the station have Ducky do the remote which they were very happy to do. Before we went live, we decided, by mutual agreement, not to discuss anything about hockey till the last 5 minutes of the broadcast. If we had not done that, once the conversation shifted away from boats to hockey, my 2 expensive hours would have been over in a flash !

Actually when we were over there 2 years ago, I said something to one of the "security" guys and he said he didn't think there was any rules against them and it wouldn't hurt to bring it next time.

Artificial noisemakers would not be allowed. If by security, you mean the people in the yellow jackets, they wouldn't be aware of the rule. Arena and university staff are.
And yeah, Norwich was one of the first with the rule, when the arena was first opened.

The guys in the yellow jackets are usually students assigned to pick up trash after the game. Often for disciplinary reasons.

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

no, the gentleman I talked to was a bit older, probably in his 40's or so. but anyways, does anyone know if there is going to be a radio broadcast that will be able to be picked up in the rink? I always enjoy listening to other broadcasters call the game when we're on the road.

You can listen to the WDEV broadcast inside the arena. I think they are covering all 4 games.

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

anyone else tuned in already and see the camera get flipped off? I'm sure the sponsors love that....

Re: PrimeLink Shootout

Cadets up 8-0. Awesome! This is the first broadcast I've been able to listen to in a long time. Great score to hear for a first time back!
