You have to complete the ridiculous stereotype. Jews are rich, and use socialism/communism to keep the rest of us poor. ;-)

It's not fair, though, that Jews get so many of the desirable stereotypes: rich, smart, funny, good chess players . . . . By contrast, we Norwegians are mostly just a bunch of head-nodding, shoulder-shrugging dimwits who can just afford the limited expenses we incur in our dull and timid lives.

I mean it's true right? I never thought I would say this but thank God I'm German, Russian and Polish ;^)

Your average Trump voter in a nutshell

https://www.politico.com/news/magazi...voter-00136850

Didn't believe any of this **** until Dementia Donnie told him to.

He’s 58. He’s married to his second wife and has three young adult sons. He was in the Army for 22 years — he retired as a lieutenant colonel — and now he is a senior project manager for an IT security company and works from home. He lives in a classic three-bedroom house he bought almost four years ago for $485,000 that’s now worth roughly a quarter-million dollars more.

Sounds like a pretty good life, so exactly what the fvck does he have to complain about? Why does he want Trump to dismantle the country?

In retrospect, though, some of what he said during our couple of conversations in the aftermath of that town hall should have been a warning. “You do your own reading and your own research, and you’re like, ‘What the hell’s happened to this country?’” he told me. He told me about one of his last conversations with his brother, Fred, very much anti-Trump. “He goes, ‘Well, what do you think about Jan. 6?’ And I said, ‘I thought it was Patriot’s Day.’” And we talked about polling. Trump’s “going to win, man,” he told me. “I’ve been watching the news tonight, and I was, like, ‘Holy shit, he’s 10 points ahead of Biden.’”

Ah yes, there it is. Because 30 years of RWNJ grievance media has trained him like one of Pavlov's dogs to think white men are being persecuted, and to vomit up RWNJisms like "elitist", "RINO", and "woke". He consumes so much of this garbage that he can't even talk to his own brother anymore.

“But do I trust the system?” he said. “I don’t.”

“You’re a veteran,” I told him. “You are somebody who doesn’t trust the system that in the broadest sense you served.”

“I have no trust,” he said.

“The system you served,” I said again.

“That’s right. I swore an oath,” he said. “I believed in that oath.”

“When did you stop believing?” I asked Ted Johnson.

“About when Trump became president,” he answered.

It would almost be comical if there weren't 30 million more voters like him.

Clearly there are two things that are broken, whitey isn't the total leader of society- there's far too much equality. And rich people are not nearly rich enough. Even if they have no manner of actually spending all of the money they have stolen in their or their kid lifetimes.

Sigh... It's pretty amazing that people who have it so very good to live think that they are being beaten down and that they have to worship some person who has only done things to help himself. I bet this guy claims he's a god fearing christian.

I mean, you're all gorgeous. That doesn't hurt.

Here's the other sad thing- when asked what specifically is broken, they come up with nothing. And then they say that since their worship says it's broken, then it must be true. Even though their worship can't even say the specific reason the system is broken other than complain about paying taxes.

We've deregulated so much that economic inequality is the worst it's been in God knows how long, and people want more of that, even WHEN they are the ones at the bottom of that inequality. How they can't see the obvious is pretty scary. There's roughly a war on poor people, and the people fighting that war don't even know they are fighting against themselves.

If we can just get it to where the Poors and the conservatives are the same set, then I will happily become a full-on laissez faire radical. Then everybody wins.

The fly in the ointment is our pesky POC Poors, who are innocent victims. Without them, we could just let the white Poors auto-asphyxiate.

When that story hit social media a couple days ago the reaction was interesting. While it is an interesting anecdote (one no one should be surprised about btw) it shows the insidious way the media mainstreams Trump as opposed to everyone else. All they do are these stupid stories of rando Boomer in Paluckaville and why his grievances are forcing him to vote for Trump. And it is never a Con writer doing it like David Brooks, it is always someone who is very left leaning trying to understand why stupid people do stupid things like it is some sociology experiment in grad school. Liberals (myself included for a bit) have this weird desire to have to understand the nature of people who do bad things. We do it with criminals all the time. We want to believe we can fix them...like a dumb lead in romantic comedy! So the media keeps telling the same story, which makes Trump look great because the author almost never says anything overtly negative. Meanwhile what you never see is any sort of profile into the average Democratic voter especially not from someone like Brooks. The Cons don't care why people vote Democratic, they just ignore them and try and stop them. They don't meanstream good things about Joe Biden in the hopes of figuring out why they get outvoted in every election. You will never see the NYTimes, Politico or CNN going around talking to Biden voters or left leaning Independents...why is that? Because you can't get much juice out of a headline that reads "Average voter supports candidate who makes their life better".

I like Kruse, I am not blaming him per se because this story is a good look into why the GOP really screwed up this entire nomination process. (and everything since the first Impeachment) But stop telling us the same story over and over again. I don't care that some 60 year old white guy thinks anymore. We know what they think...and while they may be the bulk of the readership/viewership of your crumbling media, they are a smaller demo than the rest of us.

Thing is, I'd wager half of all MAGA supporters aren't at the bottom of that inequality. Like the guy in the article, they're better off than most people.

But their white grievance, the fact that blacks and other races aren't automatically categorized as beneath them, has them feeling like they're some sort of persecuted lower class.

Bunch of whiney azz tittie babies.

Many Republicans and their voters would rather have white teenage boys working mines and factories, than brown adult men. Basically, the childhood of two of my great-grandfathers (born in western PA and eastern OH) before they fled to the comparatively good lives of Detroit autoworker and USPS mailman.
