Still don't buy the implications of that story. Many major reputable news organizations (such as Bloomberg) are refuting the general concept of a Sweden in chaos.
The video came out at the same time Snopes says that there was no such thing as no go zones. The Swedish government has said there are none. Fact check just now came out with a report saying that Trump's comments were way over the top. The only significant hard evidence is that video..which is not statistical.

The fundamental divide in this country is that a large portion believe that everybody is equal, brings something meaningful to contribute to our culture, and should have a say in how the country is run while another large portion believes that America has always been and always will be a White "Christian" Nation and everyone should assimilate into that.
To put into a simple metaphor, the country is a married couple who got married young as an act of rebellion against their parents despite obvious incompatibilities. And yeah early on they had fights and one even moved out for a month but they always stayed together because the kids weren't grown or the house wasn't finished yet or they were dealing with the neighbors or work or whatever. The problem is now the house is finished, the kids are grown and they're retired and suddenly one is looking at the other going "What the **** is wrong with you?"
At this point we as a country either need to figure out a way to be compatible and just go our separate ways, and frankly I don't see the former happening.
It's not a conspiracy and it's nothing new, America has always been divided. It's just post-Civil War we've never really confronted it because we've either buried our head in the sand or had something to distract us or both. Since 1945 it's just been a slowly growing divide getting worse as more and more social change continues to be pushed and there is more and more push back against that social change. What it boils down to is this country has never sat down and had the necessary discussion on basic issues like race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and even just a basic sense of how the country should be run.

And with today's technology (internet), politicians (and other faces in the public eye) speaking to sub-groups, and the media capitalizing on sensationalism instead of actual news, the divide grows. It sucks. And it will get worse before it gets better. I just hope the "worse" doesn't destroy us all.

A few years from now, people here will be laughing and ****ting on your memory the same way they do now with Old Pio. If you want to voluntarily speed up the process and leave, it would be nothing but appreciated.
Racial slurs aren't repugnant to you. Stealing people's private photos and posting them online isn't repugnant to you. Telling a person "This is your child's name, this is where he goes to school, and I'm going to make sure he doesn't make it home tomorrow" isn't repugnant to you. But someone pointing out that you're human garbage for not only condoning, but celebrating that behavior, that is repugnant to you. Yeah, sorry I refuse to share your obviously well-considered, informed point-of-view on that.
