I consider religion to be an intrinsic trait because most people are born into theirs. Very few people change their religious affiliation, it's just those that do tend to make the biggest splash in our reported news stories.

According to this CSM article,

Half of Americans have changed their religious denomination at least once in their lives – many several times – and 28 percent have switched faiths altogether (for example, from Christianity to Judaism).

I don't see half of Americans changing their gender or race.

People can harp on Harley all they want but they are generally considered more reliable than Triumph, Ducati and BMW while (obviously?) Japanese bikes top the list. I'd love a Honda Gold-Wing, Harley Electra Glide or an Indian Roadmaster for instance, but I do have Victory CC Tour and love all of it. Based upon my interactions with Harley riders here in PH - 50% Americans 50% everywhere else - I will never begrudge a Harley owner at face because similarly not everyone that buys a Porsche has a small pe#is.

You could kick the women out for wearing offensive t-shirts, but I doubt "we are lesbians" would pass any sort of legal test. In many states, you cannot kick them out for simply being lesbian.

You can discriminate based upon choices and actions, but not intrinsic traits. But that's nothing new, and you likely know that, if you've paid attention to American history and politics at all over the past decade to 50 years.

He most likely thinks being lesbian is a choice.
