POTUS 45.17 - Section 4 of Amendment 25

Re: POTUS 45.17 - Section 4 of Amendment 25

So you'd rather we forgot about them so we could just repeat the same mistakes?

If you want history, put a monument commemorating the dead- the ones who really sacrificed for the war. Germany has a national cemetery in Normandy, just like we do. So commemorating the dead would be appropriate.

But putting a statue up that idolizes a person who decided to be a general for the opposition- which is the definition of a traitor- who eventually lost the war- what did he do to specifically deserve recognition? Worse- later in life, Lee claims that he was for the ending of slavery- which points out that he fought for the wrong side. So he was a traitor fighting for the wrong side of an argument. That is hardly someone to look up to from a wartime perspective.

Take the statues down for the generals, replace them with monuments remembering the fallen. Far, far more effective, and it reminds us the real cost of war. And not the some kind of "glory of war" BS.

He went full Scaramucci. Never go full Scaramucci.

Sadly, we didn't get to hear the swearing on the NPR interview this morning. Bummer.

What I don't get about the white house group- who in the world is really controlling the message??? Not including dump- who is off on his own. If I were the Chief of Staff, I'd kick Bannon out just for doing what he did.

Honestly, I'd expect Chief of Staff Gen. Kelley to oust him the same way as with 'mucci. If he doesn't he just undercut himself.

Don't screw with former Corp sergeant (turned officer/General).

Wait, what?

Um. Huh.

Good lord Neo-Nazis are too deplorable for even King Breitbart I! Trump is now officially the most moronic person in his collection of villains.

There isnt enough money in all of Russia to pay off Bannon for speaking out when he gets canned. Priebus played the good little soldier so he could stll be part of the Party but Bannon could give two craps about the GOP...

Bannon has to be smart, though. As with InfoWars, all the morons and sickos who read Breitbart worship Führer Trump, so Bannon can't sh-tcan Trump until they turn on him. The best he can do is set up impossible situations for Trump and then "root for" him, thus setting him up to fail and look inept or even like a traitor to the cause. Then he can move in for the kill.

Bannon is playing over his head in DC. He's a business guy with business intelligence -- smart enough to make money but not even in the same zip code as the policy people he's up against. This is Virginia Tech against Yale or, if you prefer, Harvard Business School against Real Harvard. A "first rate third class" brain trying to go up against tier one people with far more experience and every bit as sharp elbows. As long as he stays there he's f-cked. He has to go back into the world of media and business to compete again.

No, Kep, Trump voters believed they were voting for "safety" and "pocketbook"*. --> Furners and jerbs!

*Note the double quotes on each.

And you were voting for security right...good thing we didnt have Hillary as President we might actually feel a bit secure. She certainly wouldnt have given away classified information hand to hand though I a sure you and your friends would have pretended she did even after she was cleared of it.

I wish I had written this. I have been thinking it but never as clearly.

Antifa would've been well served to stay home and watch the Bed Bath tiki torch fools stand alone in the sun and be disinfected.

No matter how many times you repeat this it still won't be true.

Funny how parallel things are to Germany in the early 30s.

I don't want to downplay the seriousness of things we've seen on display of late, but let's not overplay them either. The conditions that existed in 1930's Germany do not exist in the United States. Particularly large scale dissatisfaction from losing a major war with more than 3 million war time deaths and 4.5 million wounded, the perception of a stab in the back reason for losing the war, the hatred of peace terms enforced by an enemy, a total economic collapse, nor constitutional provisions that aided dictatorship and widespread, virulent antisemitism.

We have issues and need to remain on alert but to overreact would be an unhealthy distraction and plays right into Trump's handler's hands.
