Following up on what's already been said, you can't just turn the other cheek and hope for the best. That approach doesn't work. Do that and it becomes a sign of acceptance, and then the people carrying the torches today are going to be the people holding elective office tomorrow.

How, exactly, did you come to that conclusion?

By the time she made those statements, there has been a clear support of dump from neo-nazis, racists, and xenophobes.

Again, what did you read to come up with that conclusion???

It's not as if anyone here didn't warn you. It was pretty darned clear what other people thought. Seems to me, you are just making an excuse for your support of deplorable people like these anti-Americans we saw this weekend.

Isnt "turning the other cheek" what Chamberlain did? Hey remember when our Righty friends used to mock Obama for calling him Chamberlain?

Because he need to feel like he's the real victim here. As for his post about being called a moron, when you continuously vote for a party in which most of their beliefs are directly contradicted by science then at that point it's not just a disagreement about politics, you're a moron. I disagree with people like Rover and my sorta left-center buddy all the time but I certainly don't think they're morons either.

You came to a conclusion of a statement that makes zero sense. Especially when it was discussed at length here before. Deploirables are the racist xenophobes you seem to want to just brush back under the rug.

How in the world can you conclude anything else from the statement? That is what people question your intelligence about.

Does it matter? She made the statement and enough people concluded as Drew did. And now we have a Misogynist Racist running the most powerful country on the planet. It's really amazing when you think about it. White Christian's have managed to set themselves up as victims. And by setting themselves up that way they have managed to garner sympathy and by acquiring that sympathy they have increased their power to where they control a great majority of all levels of American Government. From the Presidency all the way down to the School Boards and City Council's.

Victimhood works. That's a hell of a lesson we're teaching our children.

Lest we forget, it's not as if the warnings were shouted all over the place.

Honestly- it has constantly been brought up, only to be "he's not really racist" as the reply. That does not matter, the fact that dump can't seem to tell the nazis and other racists groups like that to F*-off and GTFO says a lot about him and his honest character. And that there are people going to "trump rallies" according to their friends and families when they are also going, armed to the teeth, to protest for white power- holy cow.

People may have been voting against Secretary Clinton (and that's fine), but they also voted FOR dump- which the warning signs were all over the place for, and they willingly ignored them.

dump makes statements that insult people all over the place, and that's supposed to be ok to voice your opinion. So its allowed to blanket insult people as they are just words. So suck it up. They get upset when minorities play the "victim" card, but it's ok that they play it.

You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?
The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic -- you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people -- now how 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks -- they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America. But the other basket -- and I know this because I see friends from all over America here -- I see friends from Florida and Georgia and South Carolina and Texas -- as well as, you know, New York and California -- but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't really even matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroine, feel like they're in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.

First off, she explicitly lists the deplorable characteristics, and no where in there is rural mentioned.

Secondly, even if you had a valid point, I wouldn't count Georgia or South Carolina as large states. She was clearly just listing states and trying to hit a mix of red and blue to back up her point that she sees people from all over America.

So your opinion is based on a complete and fundamental misunderstanding of what was actually said. That's on you, not her.

The condition of being a Deplorable has nothing to do with geography.
