Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

The Trump administration is preparing to redirect resources of the Justice Department’s civil rights division toward investigating and suing universities over affirmative action admissions policies deemed to discriminate against white applicants, according to a document obtained by The New York Times.

Yeah...

Forget it. The fog of bias that surrounds Drew is so think you can see it. Even if he can't.

I'm most definitely biased and quite aware of it. These are tough days for people who have genuine conservative leanings. The Republican Party has let us down to a large degree and our views don't really align with what the democrats have to offer. The only hope is for a new party to develop.

I've said this before, but I really think Trump is a real life Charlie Croker. I would assume most of the people on here dislike Tom Wolfe and don't get the reference. For those with an open mind 'A Man in Full' truly is a great read.

Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

yeah, but her emails!

I still don't understand how anyone could have been dumb enough to vote for anyone other than Clinton in November. Those of us that predicted the disaster that a Trump presidency would be were laughed at by the likes of joe for "getting our panties in a twist before he even takes office". We knew what was coming, and if you had a brain you would have seen this too.

Well, we know where you stand. *I* knew that Trump would be a do-nothing at the VERY best, and that would have been a miracle, and what you see now as the norm. The underlined is a big part of why the Dems lost the election. The dismissal of some folks' thinking.

Instead of a third party -- which our system has pretty much kept at bay -- why not just promote and elect grown-ups in your own party? I've voted for republicans before. And at every level of government from local all the way to the White House. It is possible for a political party to run sane candidates. The problem with republicans isn't the candidates they attract. It is the philosophy of the party itself. trump really does represent mainstream republican party ideals. Maybe not "conservative" ideals, but as football coaches everywhere like to point out, you are what you are. The republican party doesn't really stand for any of the things republican mouthpieces like to trumpet. Sadly, republicans like you have let your party become what it is today. Even sadder still, there are 60 million of you sitting around trying to convince me, yourself, God only knows who, that despite all of the smoke pouring from every exposure of the house, there really isn't a fire, it's all just media kerfluffle. Well let me tell you, I've ridden in the big truck with the lights and sirens and put the wet stuff on the red stuff. Where there is that much smoke, you can believe there's a fire, brother. trump, and a lot of the people he surrounds himself with, are as guilty as sin. And people like you should be ashamed of how you constantly find any little reason to defend him or your party, instead of demanding that the leaders of your party put actual, real, patriotism first.

Now, and I am not saying this in a mean manner, or confrontational manner....Bernie branched off because of the D's problems. Each party has some major issues right now.

It's obstruction of justice, but it also demonstrates 'intent' to obstruct justice. None of that 'he's new at this, he doesn't know how these things are done".

It also indicates that whatever it is he wants to keep concealed is something pretty serious. Although Drew will continue to whistle past the graveyard, "nothing to see here......................."

For all cases, mookie never likes how if you have committed a crime, you are somehow expected to cooperate and NOT lie to the cops or the DA. That's crazy.
Cops need to find evidence independently- and mookie can lie and lie and lie to throw them off.

Geeez

yeah, that's real smart. **** the county over to stick it to the "lib tar ds".

it isn't just Trump's supporters that are deplorable. He is deplorable. He's said a thousand things that _should_ have disqualified him in 99.9% of the populations minds. racist. sexist. xenophobic. he crossed all the lines. He demonstrated that he had absolutely no idea how government functions, had an embarrassingly small vocabulary and couldn't string together more than 5 words to create a coherent sentence, and had absolutely no clue when it came to foreign affairs.

and calling him and his supporters out on this is "dismissal of some folk's thinking". **** ****ing straight I'm going to dismiss your thinking if it is flat out wrong.

It was more that I didn't want Hill NOR Trump to rule the country. And calling a good portion of the population too dumb is not a way to win folks over, you arrogant prikc.

Re: POTUS 45.15 - Now With More Yacht Banging Stories!

Let's rephrase: many of you wanted Hill in. Ok, I disagree, but I can see your viewpoint. You're not dumb. We're just disagreeing on some things here. Fine with me.

And then YOUR take. So yeah, eff off.

go **** yourself. You are dumb if you couldn't hold your nose and vote for Hillary over the orange piece of **** we ended up with. We had two real choices. Either Trump or Clinton were getting elected. One was CLEARLY CLEARLY CLEARLY a better choice.

also, see my edited post.

And this post proves my point. I disagree with Scoobs, DX, Maize, some others. They are intelligent people. We disagree, and that's the end of it. So be it. Just because you disagree with someone, does not necessarily make them stupid. The dismissal of others' opinions is what is separating this country. I'll leave it at that.

there are some things you can "agree to disagree" over. Electing Trump isn't one of them. This is causing real harm to people. To our environment. To our reputation. It is not okay to normalize this.

you had two real choices in November. Clinton or Trump. Sure, you may complain about the system that gave you those two choices, but that is another issue. It's time to admit you, and millions of others blew it when we needed you.

Or you could have voted for Bernie and listened to the "Not Hill" folks, some of which were Ds. Might have even got a few Libertarians to swing that vote. I didn't vote, just in case you didn't know. I hated all of 'em.

So, in THAT case, you also blew it. Keep those blinders on.

I voted for Bernie in the primary. HE was NOT running in the general. I had two choices. Clinton or Trump. I didn't vote for the orange menace. I actively tried to stop him from becoming president. You did nothing. This isn't on me.

I get it. It's a hard thing to admit you ****ed up. But sometimes it's the adult thing to do.

We aren't even a year into this, and look at what a ****ing circus it has become. And it's not just the **** show reality show. Real harm is being done. But maybe you think dumping coal mining waste in streams is a good idea or it's just more convenient to pretend climate change isn't a real thing. I've lost all my patients for this bull ****.

I did do something. I voted for none of the above. It's still a choice. I cannot vote for someone I don't believe in (and yes, I know, no one is perfect).

and through your choice not to vote you get to share in some of the blame, whether you like it or not. You didn't take a stand against Trump, the most unfit person to ever be nominated for president by a major party, let alone elected. Obviously people that actively supported Trump get more blame, but repeating the Benghazi!!! EMailz!!!! Clinton Foundation!!!! nonsense certainly earns someone a fair amount of blame.

I also get the blame for not voting for a political machine. It's a non-win situation for the non-believers in a two party system. I didn't vote for "your" (doesn't matter which party) candidate, so I am blamed. It's bullsh*. Yet, you don't acknowledge that. So again, we know where you stand, and we know where your blinders are.

You did do something. You f-cked up.

Politicians are not people to be "believed in." That's fairy tales for the children. Voting is about gross choices between gross forces, and it's always the lesser of two evils.

The candidates are show ponies and the platforms are bullsh-t. The only thing that matters is results, and results are laws and policies and wars. Realities. If you don't actively oppose a dictator you aid him.

If you can't accept that, get out of the kiddy pool and stop pretending you're contributing.

I agree it really has become the lesser of two evils. But my choice is still saying something. Pols always ask "what does it take to get people to vote?" Well, I (and my ilk) are part of the answer. GET me to want to vote for you. And here's a hint: it ain't by sleaze politics, which has become the norm today.

To give up on that...well, you let "them" win.
