POTUS 45.08: Suckers

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

Yeah, and it's all of them. They have no moderates left running or voting for them, so now John Kasich is a moderate. I thought that had long well been established around here for a long time as fact but somehow we always have to circle back around and reaffirm the definition of moderate. Silly, but that's the world we live in today.

It's a Red Nationalistic planet and we all may just have to get used to it. The President is pulling some good numbers from somewhere. Or, the media is bending over backwards to be fair and moderate. It's getting sad on MSNBC in the morning cause they're spending an inordinate amount of time hammering Democrats on not accepting pro-life candidates into their party. It appears that that one issue has defined the power structure and given the Republicans full reign over everything. Yet, then they come back with the white working class argument. They're hurting. Well, one party tried to do something for them (The Turtle ran the perfect gambit to prevent it), so they voted in the Orange Baboon and he's doing nothing for them except worked to destroy their environment.

But, yeah, given all that John Kasich has to be a moderate and GW did some things right, right? No sense in looking at what he did to the Middle East and the economy. Let's look at those awesome tax cuts he gave us.

Good policies all around.

No it doesn't. Your view is completely in line with why Flint had to sue for clean water.

Saying things like "you wingers" (or "you lefties," to be fair) widens the divide.

The media loves that story because the narrative is so easy they can do it in their sleep. And there is merit to the argument that beggars can't be choosers (see what I did there?).

As a hard-core liberal and a hard-core feminist I will endorse and support the available candidate who is furthest left on both social and economic issues. That means if they are the only game in town I will endorse Heath Mello in KS and John Ossoff in GA. You take what the geography will give you, and that varies from Brooklyn to Biloxi. In the primaries I'm a Socialist, in the general I'm a Democrat.

You are. And I am. And many others are. But, most of the Democratic electorate is not. As we have discussed here ad nauseam this is the core reason Hillary Clinton lost.

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

If people were more moderate, maybe Jeff sessions could still tell his old racist jokes and people would laugh more. Or maybe all these ladies wouldn't be whining about how Bill and Sean treat them, right?

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

kind of sad he is still falling for that false equivalency crap.

Clinton would have been a fine president. Certainly orders of magnitude better than that orange sack of **** we have now.

I would trade a slightly more Wall Street-friendly policy (relative to Obama) if it meant a continuance of strong foreign relations and a sane domestic policy.

Trumps gutting of the EPA alone makes Clinton infinitely better.

Re: POTUS 45.08: Suckers

People who think I'm chicken little can eff off, first of all as I need to get that off my chest. I was one of the few around here who even sniffed a chance at where we are at right now and it sickens me that I was even remotely correct. But I was f cking correct to be worried wasn't I? People who are not scared 5h!tless right now can go pound sand because it is a crisis unlike we've seen. People you know and love will suffer immeasurably because of trump. Not some poor dirt farmer in Afghanistan or some other remote place, and that's bad enough. People right here in the good old U S of A. You know where the country is really on the right track and it's just a matter of time before the positive change will begin happening. I'm not just sounding the alarm either, I go to work every day trying to make lives better for working class people, trying to fight for living wages, trying to make sure people do not suffer because of who they love or what door they walk through when they have to take a p!ss. But what I see every time I turn around is people believing everything will be all right and trying the same old things. So I continue to sound the alarm at the same time I try to make my little piece of the world a little more fair, a little more livable.

I certainly feel bad for those who didn't vote for him.

But I have a tough time feeling sorry for those who did- which looks to be a LOT of people being harmed. They knew what they were voting for.

We will be one of many liberals who will probably make out well with some of the policies. Still have the possibility of cuts hurting really badly, though.

yup, to some of us who benefit via the EPA, that harms us rather greatly. By an infinite amount.

Why is it so hard to see so many people have highly skilled and high paying jobs because of the EPA?

(BTW, he's gutted nothing, so far, just reviewing what was done. Yet)

edit- sorry I originally misread BassAle's post, so I corrected mine a little)

Sorry, but Susan Sarandon didn't vote for Trump and I don't feel any sympathy for her either.
