POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

I think you are really taking a lot on faith from 2016. It could be there's been a realignment, but it also could be unless your side spends 25 years demonizing our every nominee we will be fine.

I concede the Fox Model won this time. I still think it is demographically and economically doomed. Besides being, ya know, evil.

Kep - I'm looking at the, for lack of a better term, minor leagues. You've lost the midwest statehouses. You lost the South a generation ago. If you have any hope of being regarded as a party of the people and not the moonbats, you need some of them back.

Biden was your perfect candidate and the DNC blew it.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

I read somewhere that Biden already started his 2020 campaign. I'd like to see some new blood defeat him.

That "new blood" is part of the reason Trump won. Just putting it out there.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

So, the National Park Service (accidentally?) re-tweets two Twitter posts that could be construed as Anti-Trump (one being a Tweet that the WH.gov site was scrubbed of some items, the other just a comparison of the inaugural crowds).

Chester Cheeto-in-Chief orders Department of the Interior to give up the keys to ALL their Twitter accounts. And to delete any scheduled posts. And to delete any cross-linking between other social media and Twitter.

Re: POTUS 45.0: It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

Indulging in the thought that things would have gone differently had Biden been on the ticket is useless and, IMHO, missing the point. He is a nice guy with a great smile and a sympathetic life story, but he is part of the old guard the pitchfork mob rebelled against and does not inspire enough to offset the anger and fear that showed up at the polls.

The masses of dems are motivated by a positive message; the masses of GOPers are motivated by something they can fear or protect themselves against.

But hey, it's great to be white and male once again, so what am I biotching about?

Apparently now the US Customs and Border Patrol is prohibiting entry to foreigners who are against Trump. Pro Trump people are welcome however. And any time in the future an anti trump person wants to enter, they must first acquire a visa.

Judging by the reports of crowded transportation links the Women's March seems to be drawing a large crowd.

I'm pretty sure Uncle Joe would have destroyed Trump in the electoral college. Clinton narrowly lost a bunch of rustbelt states and Trump won them with FEWER VOTES THAN ROMNEY LOST THEM WITH. People hated her -- the 20 year smear campaign worked. Joe didn't have that baggage.

For every angry white ******* that wants to vote for Trump there are two other people that just didn't give enough of a **** enough to vote or were disgusted by both candidates.

How is that even possible?

I feel like the officer is a ***** who is feeling extra powerful now. Like the people who robbed muslims on nov 9. I pity anyone who runs into him next four years.
However, if this is now our policy, I'm picking up and fleeing for Canada.

It's not free passage. If I was traveling to Ottawa to protest Canada's fixation on poutine, there is no guarantee that Canadian immigration would let me pass.

I listen to Canadian radio a lot. I am amazed how much they are fixated on all things US, where most of us couldn't find Nova Scotia if we were standing on it. If they keep it up, soon they will be assimilated and we finally get the metric system.

Judging by the number of people whom I saw walking past where I live going downtown, the crowd will be yuge. ;)

one of dozens of tweets which I have received:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Check out the crowd to get into the Shady Grove, MD Metro station. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WomensMarch?src=hash">#WomensMarch</a> <a href="https://t.co/1KD5klbOu1">pic.twitter.com/1KD5klbOu1</a></p>— Kidspud (@Kidspud) <a href="https://twitter.com/Kidspud/status/822795617034498052">January 21, 2017</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If Metro charged rush hour fares today, their fiscal woes would be over.

Of course there is the thrill of having your train break down in between stations where you'll sit for many minutes with no explanation or cell phone service.

Those brave women!

Jezebel has a round up of Tweets related to the march. Seems the metro system is overloaded. Way more than it was for the inauguration.

As great as this march is, and it really is, I would think, in the future, that these marches would be more effective if they were done in areas where Trump got his votes. I'd imagine that a few thousand women, people of color, LGBTQ, etc. marching through some rural county seat in West Virginia or Ohio or Alabama would do more.

why does it amaze you they are fixated on the s*ht show going on on their boarder? Maybe what the Canadians do is inconsequential to you, but American politics affects them greatly.
