Well, MN is on full shutdown again, like when this all started (the only difference from before is you can go to the salon/barber). Supposedly for 4 weeks, but I bet it's longer. Guv is heavily suggesting that you only gather with your immediate household (not immediate family; your household). Talked with my parents tonight, and because of my lifestyle, and general lack of seeing other people, AND I won't be going face-to-face for the next week, they decided to still have me over for T-Day.
We will be more than 6 feet apart when sitting in the living room talking, and more than 6 feet apart during dinner, and that was a big factor.

tell me, is your condo in an apartment style building, or, like, one floor of a three family home? Where was it?
Ditto. FINALLY not going to the main building to help finish the day and get out of work late, was going to run a couple errands before MN HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!
A certain Brown company didn't show up on time. In fact, didn't show up at all. Supposed to be 5:15. It was 6pm, when we got word "We don't have a pickup scheduled there at all." YOU'VE ONLY BEEN DOING THIS PICKUP FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS.
Had to have our shuttle driver come back to my building, to deliver to the main building for their Brown truck. And well, since Gopher Hockey Opener was more important than the errands, ugh. Guess I get to do those tomorrow.

Good morning Lodge. Friday. I hope today goes faster than yesterday. Yesterday at noon, it felt like I had already worked 9 hours and I was ready to go home.
wT baby is 1.5 years of age today. Her mom is the weird kind of person that celebrates half birthdays (she gets it from her mother), so we've got a jitsi set up with grandma for this evening to celebrate.

Posted in the Covefe thread, but figured I'll share here. My hairdresser, who did my hair Saturday, tested positive on Tuesday. She's fine and asymptomatic. I found out last night. Going for a test today at 3:00pm. Which in and of itself was a hassle but thankfully I got one. Thing happy thoughts for me. I feel OK. I've been a teeny bit congested the past few days, but that could easily be because it's cold in my place. It's nothing different than what I've been feeling off and on for the past few months. I'm just glad I got this call before I went to see my mom on Saturday.
What's ironic is that I left my longtime hairdresser back in June because I felt unsafe in their salon.

What's so frustrating is that you can be safe, smart and thoughtful about it and still contract it.

My wife just left the house to go get tested. She works in a school, and one of the teachers with whom she has close contact just tested positive. Honestly, this might be the perfect time for her to test positive, if she does have it, because of the shortened holiday week coming, and she can still work from home, if needed. Since I work from home and am a veritable hermit these days, I’m not worried about testing positive. Of course, this all assumes/hopes for a mild case of symptoms.

Interesting. My condo is apartment/garden style as well. When I asked my realtor for my keys back, we talked briefly and she said she spoke with a few other realtors who trying to sell similar types of condos in my area and she said homes are going well, as are townhouses, but condos like mine have been more difficult what with the common areas like lobbies, hallways and elevators. Good to know there could be a market for my type of place. Seems like yet another instance of my realtors not doing their job.
My hairdresser called me to apologize profusely and said my next cut and color is on the house. Least she could do.
