But...I am sure we all agree the women earned their number 1 seed and the right to defend their title on home ice..(said the father of two daughters...) Seems like there could have been some contingencies, if the ncaa are open to that kind of paperwork...

well odds on favorite Trinnity lost to Tufts at home last week,and Platty plays well on the road,juts don't know??

We're going to have to deal with it. It's unfortunate. NCAA just won't budge on so many things because, well, they don't have to. There are some positives. Cards are undefeated on the road and love the big ice sheet. Truthfully, I would've signed up for a "one-and-in" at Trinity when this process began. Just not looking forward to a mini-vacation in Hartford.

Add on that all Plattsburgh has heard is "you don't deserveto host"...not sure I want a ******ed off Emery team. Not to take away from the women's team, but I hope the college pulls together a bus or two. Both schools average only around 300 fans...

Again nothing against the women but mens fans pay every game and we get an opportunity to host and they don't feel they owe the season ticket holders another home game.

The NCAA likely gave the "college's administration" a choice of A or B, IMO, they had to go with women (and while I would love to watch the men, I'll watch the women, and really, the men do well on the road and on big ice).

Yes, I just saw it too. Ken Drake will report more on it tonight at 11 they said. But yes, it was said it was a PSU decision. Not what I had heard earlier that Pburgh tried hard to save it. So, what is the truth ? We are some mighty P.O. fans!

I unfortunately can't watch the news down here but my question is :
A. Was hosting the men and women ever an option
Or was it
B. HOST MEN OR HOST WOMEN, HAVE A NICE DAY PSUC....

I am not a big supporter of the womens team or womens hockey in general, just not my thing. But if was MEN, WOMEN, OR NOTHING AT ALL the right decision was made. HOWEVER if other avenues were not perused then shame on PSUC Admin (go figure)

Come on, this really stinks!!!!!!!! Something should have been worked out. Don't throw us a bone and then take it away.

I sent Ken a message with those questions. He said he didn't have those answers, yet. Stay tuned I guess...I just really hope they didn't **** it up. Faith in certain people is questionable at best....

It would be nice, I we know at this point is:
"This press release was written and released by the NCAA"
and
"Due to scheduling constraints for practice and game time conflicts that would involve Plattsburgh's men's and women's teams and their opponents, Plattsburgh's men's team will travel to the winner of the Trinity (Connecticut) College and Nichols College first-round contest should the top seed Plattsburgh State women's team advance in its quarterfinals contest. If the Plattsburgh State women's team does not advance, the Plattsburgh State men's team will host its quarterfinal game."

Someone told the NCAA there would be scheduling constraints for practice and game time conflicts.

Plattsburgh was told "one or the other"..... and they made their decision. A rather unpopular one it seems !
