Stats are up:
http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympi...p-a-game-17_ihm400a06nCAN-vgame_stats-pC.html

For Canada, the big guns had a tough night.
-3: Crosby, Nash. -2: Richards

I like seeing Toews at +2.

On the USA side, their best plus-minus were no surprise. +3: Suter, Parise. +2: Rafalski, Langenbrunner, Stastny.

Don't see faceoff stats anywhere ...

Curling girls and metal:

SO.

MUCH.

WIN.

Hammerfall rules. I am assuming those curling girls are Swedes.

Re: Part III of the XXIst Winter Olympiad Or how I Learned to Stop Worryng & Love Curling

Some of my favorite "Who's Cryin' Now?" moments from TSN so far:

"Why weren't Lecavlier and Stamkos on this team? Nash has done nothing!"

"Tonight Brodeur, you have achieved FAIL."

"Will anyone agree with me that the coaching staff have been absolutely horrific? Line juggling throughout the games.. brutal. And you can't roll all your lines evenly. Get Sids line more ice and they will deliver!"

Unbelievable. Horrible. Pathetic. Pronger and Brodeur go away. Take Niedermeyer and Babcock with you. Outcoached by a wannabe American who coaches the second worst team in the NHL.

And of course, all the Canucks fans want Luongo to start. :D

I laugh at their pain.

On the topic of Crosby-Ovechkin orgasm by NBC, the 3 seed (guaranteed to be Russia) faces the winner of the 6-11 match (Canada-Germany) in the quarters. Two of those three countries is guaranteed to go home without a medal :D :D

I think the coolest part of this USA team winning like this, is the fact that so many on the team are former NCAA guys. It is awesome to see the NCAA produce world class players that can take down Canada's best.

Dude seriously, at least for the next week Toews in the enemy, or at least should be even for UND fans. They only stat I'd like to see from him is a -16 for the tournament and a quarterfinal exit. If you want to love up an ex UND player, stick with Lord Zach (who incidentially at least for one week really will be Lord Zach even to gopher fans).;)

I wonder how much of it is also that this team is so young. Maybe we can't go back to amateurs, but there's something to be said about a bunch of twenty somethings flying around the ice on fire, instead of the old man brigade of USA 2006 and what Russia and Canada, the favorites, have shown this year.

Question: How do you say Lord Zach's last name? There seems to be some discrepancy.

All that's needed is a little Sackety Sax and our plan for Olympic domination will be complete!

To be fair, $110 million CAN is what - like $25,000 USD? ;)

Yes, I'm aware that joke is old and no longer very accurate. Whatever. :p
Even money.;)

Don't listen to St. Clown. Pa-ree-zay.

And it's Lord Parise, not Lord Zach. :p

Indeed.

I always heard it Pa-Ree-Zee until he was in the NHL, now it is Pa-Ree-Zay.

MSNBC is now replaying their post-game show (because it was so good :p)

Was the game even mentioned on SportsCenter? :p

I don't know what they could mention since they're not allowed to show highlights.
