Paris Olympics

They really like their tradition on the clay courts. But it’s funny you’ve got the US and Aussie Opens using automatic line calling and then the French still has the ump coming out of the chair to point.

Causes some real problems- Goff had a call reverse on her, and lost a point because she didn't play a ball that was called out. Actually, didn't just lose the point via a replay of the point, the ump awarded the point to the other player when he over ruled the out call AFTER the play. If they are going to over turn calls like that, at least replay the point based on the player not playing when a verbal call is made.

Saw that the US Women's Rugby won bronze, which is cool because it's the first ever Olympic medal. But I swear it was just the other day when I saw they won to make it to the semis and then nothing. Who did they lose to and when? It had to have been yesterday.

Also, Women's Gymnastics - was there any doubt? Actually, I admit I had a little when Simone Biles had to get her calf wrapped. [typical American]Happy for them and glad they won gold because I'm getting a little sick of all the bronze!![/typical American :)

Hope you can watch a replay of the game. Super exciting!!!

I didn’t realize they won it in the final seconds on the final play! That was so cool to watch.

Does the US have any gold medals in swimming yet? If I may sound like an ugly American again - what the heck??? Lots of medals but no golds.

Absolutely. Can't remember exactly which ones, but I know one was in the relay.

So the Seine is clean today.

It was interesting watching the triathlon being held in a river. The upstream portion took 3x as long as the downstream segment (two laps of the course overall). Definitely seemed to throw a curveball for the athletes.

Kinda hard to watch USA volleyball. Not because of the actual match, but the commentators are so very pro American arrogant. Terrible.

One of the best stories of this years Olympics.

What appears to you as two players on the podium, they were actually three! It was me, my competitor, & my yet-to-come to our world, little baby!
My baby & I had our fair share of challenges, be it both physical & emotional. The rollercoaster of pregnancy is tough on its own, but having to fight to keep the balance of life & sports was nothing short of strenuous, however worth it.
I’m writing this post to say that pride fills my being for securing my place in the round of 16!

Strange happenings after the US goal in Women's Soccer. Took forever for the referee to call for a VAR check. Technical difficulties?

Either way, goal stands. 1-0 USA.

Canada women’s soccer team advanced despite their six point deduction after winning all three group matches.
