Packers 2010 Regular Season - ARodg and Woody in Clay-mation

Re: Packers 2010 Regular Season - ARodg and Woody in Clay-mation

I still have the SB XXXI on VHS as well. Straight recording from TV too, none of this "official" mularkey.

Hey now, my VCR is a combo DVD player.

Turntables and landlines are still awesome.
I have a combo as well AND a straight up VCR for our third "kids" TV. We have a few classic kid stuff on VHS yet.

Technology aside, this will be one of the coolest things ever if it works out. If not, there are about 6 or 8 people I know well who I probably won't talk to for about 3 or 4 years.

I'm still in the process of converting my collection of VHS tapes of all the games from 1993 - 1998 to DVD. I also have the MNF football game vs. Washington...THOSE commercials are quite interesting.

THOSE commercials are quite interesting.

When I still had a VCR (up until maybe 3-4 years ago), I had many an old tape of MTV blocks of videos (I just would hit record and let it run, commercials included), games, tv shows (Cheers finale, X-Files, etc), and I think the commercials are hilarious. Total snapshot of society at that time. Economics, styles, whatever. Always gave me a good laugh, looking back.

When I finally purchased a VCR (maybe 3-4 years ago, by check), I had many an old tape of MTV blocks of videos (I just would hit record and let it run, commercials included), games, tv shows (Cheers finale, X-Files, etc), and I think the commercials are hilarious. Total snapshot of society at that time. Economics, styles, whatever. Always gave me a good laugh, looking back.

Actually fixed.

Blah blah blah. I also had a DVD player. Bought it when the movie "Snatch" was released. It was the reason why I bought the DVD player. So you both can * yourselves. :p

And here I thought you bought the DVD player because you got a new fish.

Maybe it's because I know so many Bears' fans, but I just couldn't help but think Charles Dickens had this game in mind 150 years ago when he wrote "A Tale of Two Cities". As far as sports go, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" couldn't be more fitting than how things will be 5:30 pm on Sunday. Whoever is on the losing end of this thing won't hear the end of it until they meet again in the playoffs and turn the tables or the loser wins a Super Bowl.

Wasn't that 'War and Peace'?:p

I hope evil Cutler shows up on Sunday. He can use my Title Towel to wipe away his girly-man tears.

I've suggested bringing in Robin Ficker to sit behind the Bears bench to get Cutler's attention.

Kind of a dumb rule that I never knew existed.

Not everybody is included in the NFC championship party.

Radio listeners in Green Bay and Milwaukee will be able to hear Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren call Sunday’s NFC championship game between the Packers and Bears in Chicago, but all other Green Bay Packers radio markets, including WHBL 1330 AM in Sheboygan, will be blacked out.

Forty-seven stations throughout Wisconsin and portions of the Midwest are affected.

By NFL rule, only each team’s flagship station can carry local broadcasts during the conference championships or Super Bowl, with the exception of the Packers.

Because the Packers’ flagship station is in Milwaukee, broadcasts are allowed in the Milwaukee and Green Bay markets.

Too bad, I enjoy listening to Wayne and Larry.

I have this "Real Dumb Laws" game people gave to me because of my Compliance and Lobbyist background that is kind of fun. Many talk about how you can't sell blue ducks in a certain state or can't have nuclear weapons within city limits and crap like that. You could probably take the NFL and NCAA rulebooks and anything else laying out procedures and come up with a pretty interesting game. It wouldn't be as whacky, but you could come up with some head scratching stuff.

i could certainly understand not allowing Packers Radio network affiliates outside of Wisconsin but to prevent it outside of Green Bay and Milwaukee is absurd.
