Wow did KGT ever get robbed at goaltender.

KGT is now in-eligible for all-american as well.

I'm stunned Ryan Williams stole the second team selection away from him. KGT won both head-to-head meetings with Plattsburgh. Granted, Leis started both games but still.

KGT was undefeated on the season until the Geneseo game.

Tough luck for Fox. Looks like he was the odd man out of Gosek's three forward picks.

I assume you're talking more about the Williams pick than Sheridan - body of work, catalyst for his team's first-ever SUNYAC tournament successes, and some pretty dang solid numbers for a guy who needed to make 300+ more saves than KGT to keep those numbers good. Williams, on the other hand, is a mystery to me as well: not only does KGT stack up better statistically, but Williams a) spent the season in a virtually 50/50 platoon situation, and b) didn't even beat the other guy in the 50/50 platoon statistically playing for a strong squad. Plus the whole ostensibly unimportant but still generally respected freshman vs. senior thing. I can't help but think Buff State's ballot looked pretty interesting on this one.

They are actually favored for both weekends as the "better" team lol sorry I had to....,ow just lose to Morrisville so I don't have to miss my first OSU PSU game in 13 years

Maybe both Platty and Oswego can lose this weekend...along with Norwich and St. Norbert! That way, you won't miss your first PSU v. OSU game in 13 years and then you won't have to miss any more PSU games this year! :D :p

Yeah I was talking about the Williams pick over Sheridan.

Also, good point about Buff. State. That may have been the difference as I'm sure Carriere wouldn't have voted for KGT.

The guy that may have gotten robbed the most though is Cailyn Relkoff. IMHO, he's the best goaltender in the SUNYAC.

That's what's scary about Saturday! He could put up a Jonas Hiller-like performance and carry his team!

This thread's liable to run out even before the SUNYAC's are concluded, unless there's an extension policy I don't know about - anyone want to have the honors of creating a new thread for the postseason?:confused:

We cross that bridge when it comes. Whoever starts it first gets dibs. I hope they come up with a somewhat creative thread title for when it happens though.

The only rule is that you can't start the new thread before this one gets closed.

Does that mean that he plays well enough to give his team a chance, but ultimately ends up losing?

Agreed. Ryan Williams over KGT for the second team goalie? As was mentioned before, Williams was in a 50/50 platoon (well Dyce said "virtually", but it really was 50/50) and KGT went 16-0 before the last game against Genny? I mean, yeah he's all MMA and that bugs me, but I'm realistic, and I couldn't have picked any other goalie besides Sheridan over KGT. Not even Relkoff.

Another note. I feel Justin Fox got shafted here. Fox and Selleck are the reason why that top line is so dangerous. Yeah, Laganiere is good, but he's no Selleck or Fox.

He got shafted by the numbers game.

You can only pick three forwards to go into the pool and Gosek picked the guys that were a part of his team last year and a senior in Musselwhite.

I can see why he did it...But still completely agree that Justin got shafted and it sucks.
