Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I have been every PBC since it started ...it generally draws a good crowd . you have to keep in mind many Oswego Locals who go to other schools come out to see OSU

Oh come on now....

People that are from Oswego, when they leave Oswego want nothing to do with that town once they leave;)

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

Wow, I just realized that Adrian will be playing @ Oswego on January 8th. That's great. Does anyone know if there will be a video webcast? I sure would like to watch that one. I noticed that both teams have a couple of games after the holidays before their meeting, so they should have their legs and timing back.

Any webcast info is appreciated. Thanks

More than likely not going to happen.

Oswego students are on break so that definitely means no WTOP broadcast and unless the WNYO guys are planning on coming back for the game there will be no audio either.

The only way to see/hear it is to be at the game! Or follow it on Livestats

Thanks for the reply Prez. I'm really disappointed by the news. I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone will step up and webcast it. I'd even pay FastHockey.com to see this one.

I believe that WNYO, and I stand to be corrected, will be doing the Adrian game. We, however, won't be. It takes too many more people and time to coordinate a TV broadcast and even if we had, it wouldn't be streamed... stay tuned though... streaming possible in the second semester (spoiler alert)

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

WNYO will have every game over the break

Rob Lippolis and Matt Solomon will call the games on 1/2, 1/3, and 1/8

Tony and myself on 1/22 and 1/23

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

That may be but they do count season ticket holders whether or not they are there, and I was at the Skidmore v Oswego game last year and while there were more people there than years previous, it was still pretty empty there. My friends and I had the entire student section to ourselves almost, and the other sections weren't as full as they normally are.

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

Too quiet!

I was looking at the stats and was surprised to see that not only is Eric Selleck not leading the team in penalty minutes, he isn't even the top forward in terms of sin bin time.

There was actually quite a bit of disparity in terms of PIM stats on collegehockeystats and ushco. While they both can't agree on the # of minutes, they do both have Huinink as #1 and Fox as #2. I know that the main reason Fox is 2 is because of his game misconduct last game. According to CHS, Selleck does lead in penalties taken, though.

Also, I feel that there is a perception that Selleck, shall we say, has a knack for major penalties. From what I can tell, he only has 1 so far in his career: last season against Hobart. It wasn't even the worst penalty in the game as many recall Peter Magana got a misconduct penalty for head butting a Hobart player who had lost his helmet.

Fox had relatively few PIMs until that Hobart game, he had 17 on the one where he was thrown out alone. Huinink had 15 from the Buff State game.

One thing I think is noticeable about Selleck's penalties has been how it's basically a result from his size (minus the two or three that have been because of his aggression). More often than not, his penalties have been on players considerably smaller than him. He's not playing within his own body limits, but I think that is one reason why he's been so successful this season. I think that of his 10 penalties his year, 6 or 7 of them have been a direct result of not realizing his own size. (Although I will say, most of the penalties I've seen called on him this year have been very questionable, in my opinion.)

Re: Oswego State 2009-10 Regular Season Thread

I think alot of his penalties are very recognizable because of his reactions to them....aka...aways protesting them and slamming the penalty box doors...

the majority of them also come in the third period when the game is well in hand and the other team starts playing chippy... selleck pushes back and goes to the box and is none to happy about it....

Excellent - should be a breeze getting those seats. Does anyone know about the Box Office times prior to the first Pathfinder day, or is it really that dead and there're no concerns really about getting tickets ahead of Saturday?

I don't think many students at all know about Adrian (a real shame). For a winter break game, that's going to be a thriller!

School isn't in session - tickets will be absolutely no problem. Personally I don't see any reason to get there 15 minutes ahead of time unless you want to see the player intros.

I feel like you're one of those guys that's friends with Crahan and were on his broomball team;) If so, the flag you guys had was epic. Reminded me of the Romney days when I ran around the rink after goals with the Oswego flag....good luck doing that at the CC at a Laker game now:rolleyes:

We'll be there long before 15 minutes to game time... we need to have time for sub shop first!!! what are you thinking?!?!?!?

Well that's a given. But I don't plan on going to the Pathfinder.
