Me too!
So far, I really miss the refuelling and all the strategy related to it.

Thanks to my wife choosing what to watch on TV tonight, the highlight of my evening is getting to see Hamilton in the crowd on Dancing with the Stars watching his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
Ok, I just saw it. Hamilton flew from Monaco to LA today to see his main squeeze dance. I totally forgot that he was with Nicole, and was doubting myself that it was Lewis.
But there he was with his brother, in the front row.
Talk about surreal.
To be fair my wife tells me the have had an "on again, off again" relationship lately.
Probably off while he was out in Asia... Although, with the dust plume, he could come east to see her.
Still- his brother is with him in the audience... sureal.
It was surreal. Could Hamilton stand out any worse in that stark white jacket? From Monaco to Dancing with the Stars in less than 24 hours. Now that is definitely a change in scenery.
I just wonder how many people really KNOW who he is.
I bet most people think he's Nicole's boyfriend. And now I'm rooting for Nicole since she's Lewis Hamilton (former world drivers champion)'s girlfriend.
You're such a Lewis fanboy! Why don't you like a good Ferrari driver like Massa or Alonso??
My excuse is that I can't root for Ferrari being an Alfisti, since he walked away from my team.... But the reality is that I'm just tired of Ferrari. Especially the favoratism that the FIA has given them- like the $100M they got over the entire field, to ensure their position vs. FOTA. And the various biased track rulings....
Mrs Alfa loves Alonso, and is rooting for him this season, but she does not like Masa much- dates back to the race where Fernando put a move on Phillipe, and got a nice black doughnut on the side of his car. She really questioned whether it was a good idea to put two hot blooded latin drivers on an Italian team....
But I also do like Lewis a lot- he's a good, agressive driver- I remember reading about him way before he made it to F1 as being under contract with McLaren. Good stuff.
You need to come over to the <del>Dark</del> Red Side!!!
In all seriousness I don't like some of the F1 favoritism towards Ferrari. I wish they wouldn't do that.
I like Massa because he has been a good teammate for Schumi, Kimi, and now Alonso. He knows his place, he might not like it, but he knows it. Yet he still races hard and doesn't whine too much.
This thing I don't like about Hamilton, is his seeming incessant whining at times. And while I like his hard driving style on the racing track, he does some dumb stunts off it (pits) that I think put others in danger which I do not like.
Plus I have an affinity for underdogs and people who have some trials and really have to earn their due, neither of which Hamilton has had to endure in F1. Nothing personal with him on this one. It's not his fault he got the second best ride in F1 right off the bat. I guess my attitude on this is why I like guys like Sutil. Came up with a bad drive, stuck it out, and now he is getting rewarded for it.
Then you must be enjoying Webers season as much as I am. I can deal with seeing him win, for sure. Much like Button last season. If I see him win later this year (Monza), I would be happy.
As for Hamilton, I'm starting to think that they have selective choices in the pit radio. Compare him to Button- remember we never heard how he reacted when he was told that his race was junk- all we got was the post race interview. Hamilton didn't mention the brake issue in any post race interview at all.
And I can't imagine that Masa took it silently when Alonso passed him entering the pits in China- but we never heard a word of it. We did hear Weber complain about Hamilton, when Lewis was forced wide by Vettel.... but I'm sure we don't hear nearly all of what's said.
Speed probably does do some selective radio broadcasting at Hamilton's and others expense. However, I do read much of the same things in news articles.
The car-pit audio does not come from speed- either the host broadcaster (France in Monaco, Japan in Japan) or the FIA Feed. We noted that watching the portable TV's while at SPA. so....
I didn't know that. I knew Speed was just broadcasting the FIA feed (like everyone else) with their own commentators but I thought they were selecting which radio transmissions to broadcast.
