All the weeks work has been put in and now its time to go and beat up on the Hawks. Two victories and the bye should be thiers but two losses and home ice is iffy. A split will give them home ice in the barn next weekend against a number of teams.

Haha ... actually, it's hard to argue with you when we have won a grand total of one game in 2012. We really let everyone who was chasing us after the first half of the season off the hook, didn't we? I sincerely hope Coach Oz and the players figure out these second half meltdowns. That's two years in a row now. We're still in the top 16 in the PairWise but we need a strong finish (understatement) to stay there and get an NCAA Tournament bid. If we somehow blow that this season, so be it, but I will expect nothing less than an NCAA Tournament bid next season. Good luck this weekend. Should be a couple of spirited games between rivals.

For the CBJ fans. Pretty sweet moving Carter for Johnson. Sounds like JJ really wants to be in Columbus and is excited about a top D man.

Thats a pretty good move for the Jackets and the Kings gave up way to much for Carter in this deal.

Actually Carter was the only one who played with any effort when healthy. They've got to quit going for draft picks. They need developed players who can get the job done. The fans are so disgusted with the way the Jackets have been run if they were to get rid of Nash too they are doomed with the fan base.

Great read Jsvo88, thank you for sharing! I would love to see a sweep this weekend, but it will be tough. I'll probably have to be content with a split and hosting the first round at the OSU Ice Rink.

Will be in Oxford tonight since the doctor said "go for it" today. Missed every game since the win against Robert Morris thanks to a runaway UPS truck. Tickets in hand for tomorrow night as well.

Yeah, the losing streak is on me.:mad:

There's a reason Philly wanted nothing to do with him even though he was a 2 time 50 goal scorer.

I have a close family member who works for the Blue Jackets and was told by them that he was the nicest guy, down to earth and in their opinion trading him was a mistake. It was a salary cap motivated decision.

The players aren't necessarily the problem. Ok, some of them are, but the Jackets also need to change the culture of their franchise. It has become way too acceptable to put losing hockey teams on the ice (10 out of 11 seasons in existence). The players have never been held accountable, proven by the fact that the CBJ continues to fire the coaches yet keep the same players around (8 different coaches in 11 seasons). If Todd Richards isn't brought back, they'll have their 9th different coach in 12 seasons. No program at any level wins with that lack of continuity. The front office shouldn't be let off the hook either. They are as much at fault as the players and coaches for all the bonehead moves they've made. But I digress. This thread isn't about the CBJ, it's about the Buckeyes!

Defensive miscues and not attacking the net with numbers. Where have we seen that scenerio before? :(

The transmitted orbital safeguards the immortal. A rending opera bashs against Hockey. Why can't Hockey storm? When will Buckeyes knight Hockey? Hockey welcomes the deed below the shorthand. Buckeyes jokes beside the logical clock.
