Well when the shots are 41-13 and you lose, it feels like you lost 10-0. tOSU still has a bit of breathing room and time to turn it around so don't evacuate the ship yet ;)

I am at a loss on this free fall. Hopefully the guys get a win tomorrow night and that gets them going again. The good news is, we are only a point behind Western Michigan and are still in second place. I have posted that I have been on the ledge, but really, I think it will just take one win to get us going again. We just need to end this 0-for-2012 streak and hopefully that will get our confidence going, leading to another streak like we saw in the first half of the season. I am trying to believe that this isn't a repeat of last year where we completely tanked it in the second half of the season.

Looks like the biggest problem is scoring. Can't help it when the boys are gripping the stick too tight- happens to all good teams.

The Bucks are getting more press, bigger stories and not buried in the back of the Dispatch's sports section. The only problem is it's because they're losing, they didn't get jack from them when they were hot and winning. The bast*ards!

It's frustrating but understandable. This kind of epic collapse is newsworthy and makes a great story. In all fairness, I do think that the team would be getting a little more press from the Dispatch if the winning had continued. It just wouldn't have made such a dramatic story.

I agree just one victory will make this thing turn around. the guys look so frustrated out on the ice right now and getting a victory will allow them to realx and get back to playing hockey the way we saw in the 1st half of the season.

Man, the zebras are just hammering us with penalties tonight and the Lakers have 2 goals from it. Can't believe we're still up 4-3 at 2nd intermission. Congrats to McCormick on his hat trick!

You have got to be kidding me!! We comitted 10 penalties which gave the game away! Even so we had the golden opprotunity, a 5 on 3 in OT with full miuntes AND COULDN"T PUT IT AWAY! Can't put in print the rest of my comments. :mad::mad:

After looking at the score sheet all i can say is WOW! 8 straight with out a win and now tied for 3rd place this thing is going no where fast!

I was at the game. The Buckeyes played with a lot more energy than the Lakers, and carried the play by a wide margin during even strength situations. Unfortunately for you guys some of that energy went towards taking too many penalties. The reality of the current NCAA Div 1 college hockey scene is that you can't hit guys the way you could in the past. Almost any kind of hard hit is getting called nowadays. Yes, the Buckeyes had that huge opportunity to put it away with the long 5 on 3 in OT. It looked like they were trying to make the perfect pass and the perfect play and no one wanted to shoot the puck.

McCormick played a heck of a game for the Buckeyes and deservedly was named 1st star.

I couldn't help but notice that many times we came up ice with numbers and momentum it seemed quite often we got called for offsides!

Yah, the Buckeyes played with a heck of a lot of energy and sometimes they were just a bit off-side. The game was there for the Bucks to have if they could have stayed out of the box a little better (or scored on the 5 on 3 in OT). You've got a heck of a freshman in McCormick. I was impressed with his play both nights.

Thanks Bill, this series only added to quite the drama this weekend with now that there's 5 team at the top within a 2 point margine. Looks like this could be the most interesting February coming up that the conference has had in years!

1st to 4th in one weekend. My head tells me that this is a very young team in Oz' second year. On the other hand, my nuts feel like Wooderson walking into the pool hall balls first but having O'Banion jump out and kick him dead straight in the money maker.

That's what I saw also. The Bucks looked the best in a long time on teamwork & energy level. Still tying to get that big WIN & put a smile on the teams face. This game is what I would call , CLOSE BUT NO " CIGAR. "
