Ohio State started the 2023-24 season with 14 forwards on their roster (one left mid-season; she must not have been a "tough kid"). Currently, they have only 11 forwards on their roster for the 2023-24 season.
You gotta hand it to Muzerall on this one: when she commits to pulling a gag, she *really* commits to the gag!
LOL
Enough. This is the Ohio State page. This person you are criticizing repeatedly for the same perceived short coming over and over is a 1 x national champion as a player, won I don’t know how many national champions as an assistant coach at Minnesota, and won 2 national championships as a head coach at OSU so far and is the defending national champion.
She didn’t inherit Wisconsin, she inherited a mess. She had the courage and support to move across states and take on a big new job. From 2nd assistant to head coach at a big school. With an 8 month old baby and a toddler, and a support system. In her story she always mentions how her husband encouraged her, also relevant.
She made them into a 2x national champion with the support of her school and staff.
We all know she could go to the portal and get 2 forwards if she wanted to. There’s no Bilka there, but there’s players if she decided that was what was best for the team. Considering her resume, I think she’s earned the right to not be continuously criticized for the same perceived error in the only place online that really talks women’s hockey, for a hockey decision that she’s made. If you have point make it, but get on with your life. If OSU has a down year after their win, well ok. There are lots of teams that get that down year after their window closes, without having even won a national championship.
As for only 11 forwards, yes hope they don’t get into injury trouble if that’s what they do. It’s a storyline you’ve navigated at Wisconsin I believe, on defense.
There was very little coverage when they won their second title, to be honest. This page is kind of it. Consider having some consideration for who reads here. Not one of these coaches is perfect, not one. And they have power, and should be held to account. But having the guts to stand in the fire and try to win - and actually win - a national championship, is a big deal. You guys write soliloquies about Johnson over on your threads. Keep it up, the guys a legend. But OSU has someone they are proud of too. And should be. Try talking about her like she’s an accomplished professional, because she is.
