Ohio State 2024-25 Domination of the Portal Queen!

You did, however, tell us a month ago that none of the transfers to Ohio State would be 'one and done". Wheeler is a one-and-done.

If you go back and look that was said before Wheeler went into the portal. The three we signed from the portal all haIfve two years eligibility left do I was spot on.
I could also tell you I knew for certain Wheeler was coming here but you'd just go into your usual skepticism so I didn't bother.

You *clearly* implied that more than those three had committed. Yet none have been forthcoming.

And since when does it matter to Ohio State when a S-A enters the portal? You claim 'done deals" regarding S-As prior to them being in the portal pretty regularly.

Continue to post your rumors as "might happen", and we'll be OK with them.

I had posted a while back that Wheeler might become a Buckeye. i didn't say more because the trolls wouldn't believe it and demand proof. Well my "prediction" came true didn't it? ;)

I guess I'm the "troll". You can choose to believe it or not but how exactly do you think it plays with Shattuck players and parents when Coach Muzz goes out and is openly advertising for players in the portal? Its not a net positive. My son is friends with all the top 08 girls on the 16U and 19U SSM team and this is a something for sure. And I have no axe to grind with Ohio State or Nadine who I think is exceptional. I'm just passing on real first hand data from the source.

Funny 3 SSM players arrive in Columbus for 24-25 ... it's not easy playing at OSU only the strong survive. If you put in your time at OSU you will without a doubt become a better Hockey player and person than the day you entered the program. Ask Ms. Kirk. GO BUCKS

You do have some valid posts ... just not everything is so black and white

And when they are not "black and white", you guys shouldn't portray them as if they were. That has been my main complaint: you post things as facts that you would have no way of knowing to be facts.

I'm going to offer an apology to you robertearle. My last post was too much and I deleted it. I'd appreciate us staying civil to each other.

Wow first Timothy A ... and now Hockeybuckeye... dam I guess great things come in 3s ... I as well will apologize 4 my behavior to my WI counterparts, and I do owe Timothy A some stats ...

or you could ask the Fleming or Morrow families who are both semi royalty at SSM.

the SSM girls that are headed to OSU committed years ago. Things have changed

Four Frozen Fours in four consecutive years and two Natty's in the past three speaks much more to prospects than unhappy former players. As the patent of a former D1 college athlete we see through that kind of talk when our daughters might not and we guide them accordingly.
I seriously doubt the well has been poisoned at SSM.
You also aren't taking into consideration all the past and present player from OSU that were SSM girls and elsewhere who have nothing but praise for coach and how the ship is run here which far outnumber the few you can name who you claim aren't happy!

Mostly an off-season distraction, but (prompted by this) I was refreshing my memory on the incoming Ohio State freshmen, and saw once again that the goalie's name is Genevieve (Klein). And that brought to mind an obscure album track from a fairly obscure 1970s artist, Andrew Gold. He played on a million albums by a million artists, most notably as Linda Ronstadt' sort-of 'musical director' and touring band leader for a handful of years. And then had a couple hits of his own - "Lonely Boy" and "Thank You For Being a Friend". And I'm a sucker for songs with girls' name in the title.

So for the next four years Buckeye fans can have this one in their heads: Andrew Gold - Genevieve.

Not quite true, they might have verbaled some time ago but they couldn't sign their letter of intent until the window opened their senior year. They could have said no thanks up until the signing but didn't.

we can circle back on this after this recruiting cycle and see how many SSM girls commit to OSU this time around.

Two sisters leave. Morrow leaves the best league, doesn't play against the best competition, and doesn't win a national championship. Sophie Jaques didn't play tons in the beginning of her career but Ms Jaques showed up everyday and put the work in to get better and achieves winning a national championship getting back to the national championship and wins the Patty Kazmaier. Pays to be a winner!
