Ohio State 2024-25 Domination of the Portal Queen!

Meh....Me no think you are talking about the same thing. Unless you are actually saying that you talked to the player's parents who have entered the portal this year...That would be interesting for sure.

Methinks you are talking about last years portal players who for sure would have been contacted by other schools like the sinners and tunnelers. Hats off to slOwSU as they did a great job bringing in a boatload of terrific players. The fact is, there aren't those type of players in the portal this year so I don't think it is as big a deal as the ducky and bunny posters want to make it out to be.

You are correct, I am talking about the players that were in the portal last season. I think it's kinda hypocritical that trolls are constantly on here roasting our coach for going after those players when their coaches were after them, too. Guess they are just butthurt that they picked OSU instead of their teams.

Lots of free entertainment out here! I just think it's funny that the Muzzinator lives rent-free in all these trolls' heads! They probably have notifications set up for it. (laugh emoji) Well, that is enough from me. Gonna go out to ESPN+ and watch Joy Dunne's game-winner again and again and again!

Come on now...I thought you would be above this.

Nothing could be more fitting than “slOwSU” for this thread …

A bit of back story on the nickname...

Back in the day I used to support an operating system from IBM (developed by both Microsquish and IBM) called os/2. The group that I worked with came up with the nickname (slow)s/2. WE found it amusing that they even resorted to naming it os/2 warp. It was anything but warp...

So I just borrowed from that and adopted it to OSU...

Dude, take your L and move on. You are so full of sh*t on this forum that the bar is pretty low for you, but this is Q-anon level of absurdity.

Your ignorance amused me. You guys can't accept what I've posted is the truth yet you want proof? If you can't accept the truth you would be in denial on any "proof" I presented to you.
If the Muzzinator herself presented a notorized statement signed in her own blood backing me up you still wouldn't believe it!
You guys apparently aren't connected to your program like we Ohio State fans are to know things like we do. Too bad for you. So while you voice opinions we post facts.

Sierra, I got your back. Talked to Parents after the Natty Championship. WI and MN were both 100% going after the same players. Anyone who says otherwise is absolutely full of ****.

Thanks osualum86 ... these Badgers are cuckoo for coco puffs.

Breaking News .... Since the beginning of time the top schools have been going after the same players.

You don't get it. I've seen the NCAA rulebook. Coach Johnson took me into LaBahn under the dead of night, only the sound of owls echoing through the train tracks behind the building and the wind through the trees. He winked at me as he pulled out a hockey stick from the corner of the bench and a spiral staircase opened up descending into the depths. We descended, past a skeleton wearing a North Dakota women's jersey. "They didn't follow the rules," he said cryptically. Finally we reached the sacred vault. The NCAA rulebook sat on an altar, glowing under a mysterious light that came from nowhere. As he opened it, a terrible voice in a language I don't know but could somehow understand bellowed "YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK OF THE PORTAL" before the room opened up and a swirling light emerged in the wall. If I squinted through I could see the spirits of transfers past. Daryl Watts winked at me as she put a single finger to her lips before the portal closed. Coach Johnson turned to me, "now you understand" before he vanished in a puff of smoke. I finally stumbled to the daylight, days later, emerging from a grate at Picnic Point, the memory of that night already fading. But sometimes, in the darkest nights when the wind howls, I will sit bolt upright in bed, and I will remember the RULES. Oh, the RULES. The unspeakable things coaches do in the shadows. You would never enter the portal if you've seen the things I've seen....

The awesomeness of this post cannot be over-stated. I read it right before I went to bed and it was incorporated into my dreams.

You clowns just can't accept reality so you go full troll mode on our thread posting such crap to only prove how out of touch you are. How can you not see some of our posters know things about our program a Badgers fan could never know. I hadn't rubbed our Championship win in your faces but if your behavior persists I'll just keep reminding you how on top of Wisconsin we really are and will stay that way!

The women who actually play the game would disagree with your comment. I love how a woman coach in the woman's game who has done more in NCAA hockey is so disrespected by men. Keep being a hatter, but then again, you're from WI. That's all you know... I get it. So sad...

You guys sure do have a talent for "knowing things".

He/She has made a total of three posts; two of them on this comment thread, and one on the Transfer Portal thread. Zero on any Wisconsin comment thread.

Somehow you conclude he/she is "from WI".

This thread has become toxic. My suggestion is to not respond to the toxic posters. I have even gone as far as blocking the toxic posters. I want this Buckeye thread to be healthy. I will continue to block toxic posters. I enjoy reading posts from Buckeyes about The Ohio State Women’s Ice Hockey Team. Non Buckeyes are welcome as long as they aren’t toxic. Keep it nice and don’t feed the trolls.

Blocking: sign in, go to User Settings, go to account, scroll down to ignore list and add poster to be blocked.

The moniker could be a clue as to who the poster supports if you think it is short for bucky badger...

I understand that might be a reasonable ASSUMPTION. But it is only an assumption; and even if true, still would not necessarily mean the person is FROM Wisconsin.

Maybe it's the computer programmer in me, because making assumptions you don't fully realize you're making is a wonderful way to introduce bugs into your code, but I do not like people stating as fact things that they have no way or knowing are actually facts.

Say "I assume he's a Badger fan" and I don't bat an eye; state is as a "fact", and I'm gonna object.

(And I can think of another team around here whose fans might use variations of "buck" in their screen names.)

I love being a hatter. I've got quite an extensive collection of hats. Besides hats, I also know about cheese, fishing, paint thinner, the US Civil war, Mustangs, both the car in the plane and open wheel racing. And hockey of course. I will say the thinner came in handy a few weeks ago. My favorite thinner is the base product from fleet farm. It goes exceptionally well with an extra sharp cheddar cheese on a plain crunchmaster chip. Are there any fleet farms in Ohio?

An interesting crossover fact is that Rufus Dawes, who was one of the commanders of the sixth Wisconsin volunteer infantry regiment during the Civil war, part of the famed iron brigade, was originally from Ohio! He was quite the man, I admire him greatly. I recommend reading his autobiography.

Fair points, indeed...

Thought you might like this anonymous quote I stumbled upon about assumptions.

"Assumptions are stories we make up to fill in for what we don't know. We make assumptions when we don't fully understand a situation, or when we can't predict or confirm a future outcome. Sometimes our assumptions are “hopes” in disguise – wishful thinking, and sometimes they are “excuses”.

You are now formally known as the mad hatter...

Google, which is evidently a bad thing according to members of a certain fan base, reveals that sadly, there are no Fleet Farms in slOwHIO.

They do have some Menards, I don't mind the Rustoleum thinner, not quite as smooth as the FF stuff. Aged Widmar's Brick on a Ritz is a decent match.

Interesting interests, Timothy A... are you aware of Edmund G Ross? No Fleet Farms here in OH as Rural King is KING here in true farm country. Mustangs are very interesting as I know of the greatest Mustang ever built (maybe i was part of that creation). Crazy how we can have so much in common but yet so far apart... assumetions assumetions ..
