Ohio State 2024-25 Domination of the Portal Queen!

Oh, it doesn't hurt recruiting. Lol, for 8 years, coaches have been taking that shot at OSU, and it hasn't worked. MN and WI should focus on recruiting and trying to win rather than talking about the team that kicks their a## on a regular basis rather than a rink.

How many times do we have to do this?

Last five tournaments: Wisconsin - three national championships. Ohio State - two national championships.

If you want to make the argument that OSU WH players have a chance at making more NIL money than players at Wisconsin or Minnesota, go ahead and make that argument. I doubt it's the case, but at least it's arguable.

Have any players at these three schools actually earned a dollar of NIL money? I don't really think it is happening for hockey players in general. I sort of feel that actually players at Minnesota have the best chance to earn something as hockey is more ingrained in the communities of that area than the other two schools.

What the non Ohio State posters on forum don't know is how deeply connect some of our poster are to our program. You wouldn't believe it if you knew. That being said when others contradict us it amused us to no end because we know what you don't. On the rare occasion we post something that doesn't happen it's not we were wrong, it was accurate when posted but the powers that be here made changes after the postes were made.

All the "inside information" in the world isn't going to change what the settlement agreement says, or the cap number on athlete payments that Ohio State, like every other university, is bound to.

Apparently it went over your head in the article our AD saying it's changing daily. We know what those changes are, you don't.

It's like talking to a wall.

No, it apparently "goes over your head" that the settlement agreement is a public court document, and that agreement between the NCAA and a group of plaintiffs BINDS those universities represented by the NCAA to conditions agreed to in the document; those conditions include a "cap" on the amount of money that any individual university may pay to its student-athletes. That agreement and the terms of that agreement are NOT "changing daily". And the amount of the cap is NOT different for Ohio State than it is for Wisconsin, or Minnesota, or Michigan, etal.

No matter how many times you guys want to claim otherwise, the terms of the agreement will not be changing. It just isn't. Settlements of civil lawsuits do NOT "change daily". The amount of cap money will change from year-to-year, but it will remain equal between those universities bound by the agreement.

The daily changes are probably regarding how much of the overall pot is being allocated to football and basketball.

So, messages from the football coach and the AD to Muzz, telling her that football is taking even more, and leaving less and less from WH?

LOL

The settlement agreement is a PUBLIC document! There is NO question about what it says!

(And what kind of teacher tells someone to stop reading?!? Good Lord, man!)

Did I say that? I don't believe I did. You do provide great examples to my students tho.

As a disinterested party, I have read the off season posts with an eye towards gaining an idea of what the next season will hold. I am not concerned if the Gophers finish 3rd again, or if St. Thomas finishes last. In my world the best team wins, and you enjoy the journey to the end. (Exception noted: Finland vs USA IIHF). The trash talk on the Ohio State and Wisconsin threads veer towards the worst aspects of the mens hockey fandom. I started exclusively following the women's hockey game after seeing continued bad sportsmanship among the fans attending the mens games.
This is a game. We support it for a variety of reasons. How about staying civil while we support our sport? Do I hear an Amen?

Have some cheese and wine with that.

There's nothing worse than feeling betrayed. It's only a matter of time before the PWHL comes a calling. She's smart and ambitious.
Thanks for the compliment Timothy but the PWHL has nothing to offer her. Although she supports it, I'm hearing it won't be around long due to it's unsustainable financially.
