I am not going to exhale until the clock says 0:00. And just after I type this, but Bucks get an empty netter. Maybe I can exhale now. Guess the Redhawks will have to wait until tomorrow to win the CCHA regular season title. As ticked as I was about our series with Michigan last weekend, I am very happy with our game tonight. We took some penalties tonight that could have hurt us but our PK was sharp, and Hjelle, what can I say about Hjelle that hasn't already been said? The guy was money tonight. I am happy that he got a shutout tonight, and against a team as lethal as Miami, that was a tremendous performance by Hjelle and our blueliners. And let's not leave out the offense, getting two goals and an empty netter against one of the best defensive teams in the country. Nice night for the Buckeye Icers. Some of you who were there will have to fill me in on what you observed tonight.

Great "Team" Win tonight. They played together especially in the defensive zone. I thought Miami had the better chances all night long but Hjelle and the rest of the team kept the puck out of the net. I thought that penalty Krough took was great he was beat and the other player(dont know who) wasnt going to get there in time to stop the drive to the net. That probably saved a goal. Ohio state didnt have alot of great chances but took advantage of the chances they got. One point tomorrow sews up home ice. We know Miami will come out flying with the title on the line they know Western most likely will not lose to MSU so the Hawks have to win tomorrow. That said the Buckeyes need to win as well to get home ice so tomorrow should be fun.

I thought as well it was the best game they played all season. No stupid penalties with the exception of Oddo getting a misconduct for slapping the puck into the ref with a penalty already pending. Everything just went OSU's way tonight and it was Miami's turn for the near misses and bad bounces.
It seemed the crowd at Miami was just not as rambunctious tonight not giving their team a lot to feed off of.
Saturday's game will without a doubt be a slugfest with Miami playing for the regular season title and OSU playing for home ice and the pride and satisfaction of being the spoiler for your rival.
GO BUCKS!

The 2012/13 season has been full of surprises all year. With alot of ups & downs. It will be a WILD ride to see how far this team can make it. Eh. :)

Considering the adversity this team has had to face with the early season injury situation (lost count of all the guys we had out at one point), I think the season has gotten better. We have actually been playing some pretty good hockey lately. I am actually looking forward to the rest of the season myself, and as you said, THE OHIO STATE, how far this team can go.

Tough loss tonight (5x3 was bad!)but get ready to squeeze in to the old barn in a few weeks!

I would love to be at the barn in a couple weeks, but I am not a season ticket holder. I would hope the season ticket holders, who have first dibs on these tickets, will have no problem selling out the 1,000-seat OSU Ice Rink.

There are usually tickets left over. Just pay attention to when general public sales start and jump on it right when they go on sale.

You're both correct!

But for clarity's sake: I believe klbaum was referring to the fact that, after tonight, only the CCHA playoffs remain before the league closes up shop. That's bittersweet on a whole different level.

Indeed. That's why I'm set for Detroit to be there at the end of the CCHA as I was present in it's beginning. A tearful farewell to be sure!

ferris pulled their goalie in OT, which made me LOL for some reason.

Just a little fun fact: Michigan is a 7 seed. Which is what they were the last time they had to win the whole thing in 2010. And miami is the regular season champion. Hm...

It's to bad the BUCKS have to play there 1st round in the small rink. :p

They had to get 3 points from this game to have home ice thats why he pulled him.
