The only thought I have on these games at Nationwide is since OSU is in partner with Nationwide now managing their arena and providing there's not a conflict with the Jackets schedule, perhaps next time we host playoff berths we can get that venue instead of the old barn since there seems to be no end to OSU renewing their contact to host high school wrestling at the Schott and kicking their own team out. After all we know there is no money to be made with the games there this weekend so perhaps the new arrangement eliminates the financial drawbacks. I'm as nostalgic as the next guy for playing on their old ice but as the team improves the demand for tickets to playoff games should increase and I'd like all our fans have the opportunity to come and see their team. More than likely though they'll put basketball in Nationwide and screw us as usual.

I believe CBJ season tickets holders are being given free tickets to these games.

We certainly didn't dominate but what a game! Scored with six attackers to tie with 9.8 seconds left and won the shootout!

Listened on the internet this afternoon it sounded like they were pretty sloppy early on to fall down 2-0. Coming back to tie it late and winning in the shootout is pretty big i think for this team. If they can put together 60 minutes who knows what this team can do. Lets go get the 3 points tomorrow and move on to next weekend's opponent.

I thought this team might be good enough to finish as high as 6th, won't happen. Definite a bottom three.

It's been awfully quiet on this forum lately. I'm surprised no comments about the lineup last night?
Osiecki's right about the momentum of the game changing after the major penalty taken by Dries...but that's where the inexperience of the freshmen and how they handle it kicks in.
And I've said it before on this forum...you can't play a full game with the same lines and only 4 D.
Didn't watch the game, but the listened to it. Announcers said over and over again that the Buckeyes had no legs for the third period.
Maybe it had something to do with A PRACTICE THAT MORNING????
Granted, probably not a full out practice....before you all jump on me for saying that, but come on....

Doubtful. I watched both games this weekend and it seemed they were struggling to keep up during the second halves of both third periods. In the first game, it seemed like they got a second wind toward the end and capitalized on it. In the second game, Alaska took full advantage of it. I'm not sure if it shows how good Alaska is conditioned or how badly Ohio State is, but it is definitely something to be worked on before Michigan comes to town.

Watched both games, OSU luckey to get SO win on Fri. Sat seemed between 2nd and 3rd Alaska drank Red Bull, OSU drank mellow green tea. As for lineups, K Reed not dressing (reason not known, may have been injuried, but looked fine before game) and Arneil dressed not recipe for victory.

It's beat Michigan week, PART TWO.

When you play Michigan it doesn't have to be football to feel the love. lol! Also if anybody ever encounters a belligerant Michigan fan just throw some football scores and stats at them and watch them scamper away.

Big OT WIN for the Bucks tonight. What a awesome game for the Big Ten Network TV viewers. Eh. Tied the game with 10 seconds to go in the game with pulled goalie. Nice five hole shot in OT for the WIN. I noticed some of the Michigan players didn't line up for the handshake and went off the ice. Then 30 seconds later they were sent back out to get in line. Poor sports. LOL.

Saturday night should be a real battle. Can the Bucks sweep the bad boys from Michigan?????

HUGE win by the bucks tonight. I actually thought we looked pretty good. Clearly Michigan is the better team, but I was proud of the effort and hustle tonight and it definitely paid off in the end. Good game bucks, let's come out firing tomorrow!

Yes a great win tonight. The team looked their best so far this year and one has to be at their best to beat Michigan at hockey. Oz was interviewed earlier today and voiced concern on being able to keep up with Michigan's speed on open ice but said the key for us was to control the neutral zone. Couple of things though, what was up with the long conference between the officials after video reviewing Michigan's first period goal before waving it off? And what was the reason for disallowing it? And I could have sworn along with most of the arena that Albert scored with 12 minutes left in the third and that was ruled no goal. I swore it went in and bounced back out!
