the amazing part is the the Jamaica team's time was 0.04 sec off the east german's time and would have been an olympic record if it wasn't for the americans...

Watching the wrestling is worth it because Rulon Gardner is calling the matches. *ing legend he is.

Womens 1500 swept by Turkey. The race was shaping up to be a good one for one the the Americans, but she fell just as they got past one lap to go. Who knows...

Great finish by the Bahamas- passed the US in the last straight to take the 4x400.

It was close for the gold.

Wow, a Frechman just set an Olympic record in the pole vault. He and two Germans have been going at it for a while. Great competition.

Woman's hammer took forver to decide- there was a missed measurement on what would be a bronze medal throw.

Trying 19' 11" right now.... I'm surprised he didn't just try and get into Bubka territory... At this point, just go for it...

That guy (Alexander Karelin) was terrifying. I bet he won most of his matches before they started, when his opponents peed in their singlets. There's a picture on his Wikipedia page smiling amiably, and he still scares me. And I'm sure any woman who's been through labor must sympathize with his mother -- 15 pounds at birth!:eek:

And it ends with him not making it. Nice to see the other jumpers watch and try to get the crowd into it.
