Promoted to Division 4 in FIFA H2H Seasons!

I've found a new favorite team to play with, and that's Sweden. Obviously you have Ibrahimovic, but Wihelmsson's a solid 4 star player, and Elmander has a great shot. Plus, since the team's a 4 star team, you don't get matched up with people playing as Barca/Real Madrid/Spain as much.

EDIT:

Division 3!!

Started using the low cross a lot more successfully this past season. Got destroyed by a guy using it, so I decided to put it to good use. Gets the ball across the box MUCH better, and instead of wild headers, usually you have easy volleys...plus a decent amount of OG's from the defenders failing to clear.

Thanks for the trade and the gift Unofan. Hope you like S.P.A.Z. I knew it wasn't my kind of game.

Got Day of Defeat Source free for the Bastion achievement. Not interested in that game either. So if you win something you don't want, maybe we can trade/gift again.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

Finally downloading Star Wars: The Old Republic. Going to give it an honest 90 days. First MMO I really wanted to play since EQ1. I want it to be good, but we will see.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

So I bought Skyrim as a Christmas present for myself. I've never played that sort of game before - usually I just stick to FIFA, NHL, and NCAA Football. Enjoying it tremendously so far, though I'm pretty terrible. One pet peeve I have is that I find it really difficult to get anywhere on foot in the game. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

What do you find difficult about going on foot? That it takes awhile, or that you get attacked? both are normal. Its a large world.

The company that designed them dropped that guy as their marketing now over this whole thing.
Probably not a bad idea consider they lost any chance of a spot at either PAX and probably had CES and E3 questioning them as well as the majority of their core market PO'd at them.

Assuming it's still a feature, I'd suggest that he fast travels by going to the map and clicking on his destination.

Right, I understand that. Just that I feel like I kind of wander aimlessly, keep running into mountains I can't scale, etc.

Yeah, you can fast travel to places that you have discovered. When you haven't been there before, you have to hoof it.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

Getting a horse (again, assuming they are available in this game as they are in oblivion) also helps speed things up a good bit.

Up to Level 6 as a Cybornetic Smuggler for the Republic. Every quest so far has included a short cut scene to begin and end it, which is pretty cool. The game also uses a dialog wheel like Mass Effect. There is a simple cover system as well.

Low levels are fun, although i've never really felt like I was going to lose a fight yet. Even when fighting 4-5 guys at once.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

Anyone have a recommendation for a good PS3 headset? Since I don't feel like paying an arm and leg to get a wireless/bluetooth one I'm looking at the cheaper ones, so under $70.

I just bought a pretty cheap cell phone bluetooth thingy, it should be all you need honestly. I don't know if you're looking at more of a bluetooth headset that has speakers for both ears and the mic or what, but IMO, no reason to spend more than like $30 for a bluetooth meant for cell phones.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

The camo version of the Sony bluetooth headset was cheaper than their regular, so I bought that one. I think it was $39.

Jumped up to level 11 in SW:TOR. Finally left the starting world for the Republic Fleet and Coruscant.

GameSpot has digital downloads of Civ III complete for $4.99 and Civ V for $7.49 but Civ IV is $19.99

Has anyone played FIFA Manager 12 on the PC?
