Whining about stuff and then doing nothing about it - it's the American way!

ETA: I'll probably run out NFS Hot Pursuit on the 360, then look at a PS3 after the Black Friday madness subsides. Stupid being a working stiff and being 4 hours behind the civilized world.

I come back from the south next Saturday night, so I will probably spend all day Sunday playing GT5.

I love epic FIFA games. I was playing as Portsmouth, my opponent AC Milan.

Was down 2-1, tied it up in the 78th minute. He quickly scored in the 83rd to take the lead, but I come back and score in the 88th to tie, and the 90th to win.

Step 1 before starting any games is to delete the fake.inc and nleague.inc files where ever you find them in the steam folders.

They cause the German national team and the Japanese leagues to have fake players.

There are like 3 locations to delete them from AND you have to start a new game.

Supposedly the "RealPlayStation" started following me on Twitter. One of the links thy posted was what to look for from the PS4. That link leads to an estimate that the PS4 and XBox 3 will be on the market in two years.

No word on the veracity of such claims, but they are out there and supposedly from an official source...

Rocky first starting sequence aside, NFS Hot Pursuit is going well. Takes a while to get going - I didn't even see police for quite a few events, and even most of the early police races are just time trials with a different name. However, once the police step up their tactics and you get the faster vehicles it gets frackin' intense out there.

And BruteFM, don't think your shenanigans on my Autolog have gone unnoticed Looks like I was wrong about that feature.

And I'll probably get a PS3 eventually from somewhere, but I'm not going to trample Grandma on Black Friday for one. As for Amazon, notice how my sig says Pep Band and not Glee Club (Plus I'm not sure how holiday shipping specials would work in AK.)

Oh, I see. I only deleted them from one place, didn't make the connection that "wherever you find them" meant I would find them in more than one place.

I don't know the backstory on why specifically 1 national team and 2 foreign leagues have this. But its not Steam that is causing it, its the game itself. If you buy the CD version you have to delete the same files.

Maybe it was an agreement they couldn't get with those teams/leagues so they made fake players, but also made it easy for their fans to fix it.

In this case nothing will come of it even if that was the case. Because in the end, users are allowed and even encouraged to edit the player database which has all teams, players, coaches, cities, finances, etc in it. So deleting those files just saves you the time to fix the teams manually. Hell I could put you on the German national team.

I'll believe it when I see it. Sony took a massive financial hit with the PS3. When they first came out it was something like $400-$700 lost per console. That's a tough pill to swallow if they're going to do this all over again within two years. I understand licensing is all behind the scenes and likely makes up for all of the losses, but the PS3 is barely getting into the equivalent of the "teenage" years of the system, finally being developed to its fullest capability... But then again, Sony is run by some of the dumbest people on earth so who knows.

I remember it from NBA Live on Genesis. Entering your created player name as "Michael Jordan" just happened to get you a 6'6" bald shooting guard from the University of North Carolina with default jersey number 23 and ungodly stats.
