Well looks like the Buff st squad will be in the CC sat night,they did in Potsdam what we could not do at home, and they have their top goalie back,they have given us trouble in the recent past and have a good amount of confidence,we had better come out flying and not give them any more reason to think they can win like when we let Postdam back in the game.......Will be interesting to see who suits up sat night.

it was not pretty to watch last weekend. With some key personnel back and a tremendous work ethic you will see a change this Sat. I was able to watch part of the Buff Potsdam game last night. 5 min in the first a player skated from behind and blungeoned a Potsdam player, who had to be removed from the ice. Top goal scorer on there PP. NO CALL

Yes Buff St has been pretty chippy,that said we have had **** good discipline this yr and should stick to that.

Rocky waters the last three days. I think it was all the foot stomping up in Oswego Friday night and then the whole town of Plattsburgh errupting Saturday night when they got the Potsdam score. Was it worth missing whiteout weekend? From a hockey fan with no Internet access no, from a father's point of view after watching and listening to the little ones rave about all the cool stuff, absolutely. Going from 84 degrees Sunday to -5 Monday....different story. If Plattsburgh and Oswego win this weekend, I might have a couple seats in the Durango heading up north from the Finger Lakes region. Doesn't help you out much but other Laker fans...

caught most of the game, we looked pretty good,Adams is a BIG difference when is is full bore, I think missing a few games lit a fire under his butt.Zman was there when we needed him with some big saves.We had a ton of time in their zone and they did the old collapse and blocked many shots as well,seemed like all shots from the point got blocked or deflected.We hustled and crashed the net welll,and also got mean in the blue paint in our zone good to see.Gallati was mixing it up all night I like that,the line shake-up was what we thought would happen,and our Penalty kill was aggrrrrrresive again,BTW,plattys PP seems to be clicking, 3 goals last night,but 1 shg let up as well.No Jackson,he must have a serious concusion??? WTOP did a great job again,hope it is not the last of the yr.

The offense created chances but struggled to finish but at this point in the season you have to be able to win a game 2-0 or 2-1 and they showed they can.

I had a very interesting chat with my rail partner and he made a very interesting comment and I think he is spot on and that is these players now days and this is just not only Oswego, don't know how to shoot the puck. And this I believe is our problem. He refers back to his days of 1968-72 and mine of 1984-88 and it seemed that everyone could shoot on every team. Yes the style is different know but one still has to light the lamp the most to win. It would be interesting to hear what players from days ago think??
Lastly a big congrats to the Lady Lakers to make it to the semi's. It would be nice to see the Lady Lakers make some noise.

While I agree with DIII assessment of today's shooting skills we had some very good shots last night. I counted 3 hit posts and the BSU goalie played a very good game (better by far than the rest of their team). On the other side, yeah, lots of shots went wide and our 2 goals were by one player. Good to have Adams back.

Yeah Buff State's goalie was phenomenal. He was a man possessed and the puck just seemed to find him. His performance gave his team a legitimate chance at winning up until the very end. Kevin who? Who Carr?
This kid has the potential to give headaches to much better teams for the next few years.
Oswego's defense looked professional. Stifling, to say the least. But how much of that was them being able to outmuscle and outmaneuver a less-skilled and slower team? And how much of that will translate into a game against Platty? Having Gertsakis back I have to believe made a difference. If we had him last weekend against Platty, I like to think next Saturday's game would be on home ice.
I believe we are on a 6-game unbeaten streak against Platty right now, but here's the great irony: the 3 away games we won. The 3 home games we have a record of 1-0-2. We haven't beaten Plattsburgh in our house since 2013. But they haven't beaten us at all since 2013.
In all likelihood (there's never a guarantee is there?) this Saturday's game will have no impact on whether Oswego gets a spot in the NCAA. But, it is sure to have a big impact on whether we get a first round bye and/or home ice.
I'd really like to hit 20 wins to keep that streak alive. The 4 ties we've had this year is actually pretty strange. The Lakers have only seen that happen one other time in program history. Just to get the same 22 wins we had last season, we would have to win the SUNYAC and NCAA championship. Or lose the SUNYAC, play a first round, and win the NCAA. So getting to 20 seems a bit more reasonable.
At least we know there won't be any more ties.

Solid team effort...having the capt and his D partner a big difference...Adams got the msg after sitting 3 games....team knows they can win at the RonnieB...Z will need to be the MVP....should be a great one

In all likelihood (there's never a guarantee is there?) this Saturday's game will have no impact on whether Oswego gets a spot in the NCAA. But, it is sure to have a big impact on whether we get a first round bye and/or home ice.
The Trinity loss did help both Platty's and Lakers chance of a Pool C bid. The Pool C bid is a crap shoot and I am not counting on the Lakers getting a "C" bid if they don't win on Saturday. The only secure way for the Lakers is to WIN Saturday and as Al Davis used to say "Just Win Baby". Yes Platty does have a bigger hole to climb if they lose, but that will give them all the more reason to come out firing on all cylinders. I am sure that Coach E doesn't want to be sitting home 2 years in a row come the NCAA's.

As far as the shooting I am not sure, for when I played I closed my eyes and hoped it went near the net
, that said we did have Snell and Fitty who scored 50 goals each I believe,I also think the goalies now-a-days have those HUGE pads which dont help the shooters,also the 1 timer is big now,and the sticks are very different,also noticed these guys always seem to want to put the puck thru the back of the net,not as much finesse.Buff st does have a winner in net,unless he transfers somewhere
