As I remember it, Zman was pulled earlier. Potsdam scored so he went back into the net, then he came out again waving his stick around 45 seconds to go.

Very disappointing weekend. Plattsburgh was so much better then they were against us in December. I think they caught us by surprise. Johnson and Gertakis healthy may have helped. I sure hope we get another crack at them, they won't catch us by surprise again.
I don't think we played that badly against Potsdam, but we left it up to the Hockey gods, and they did not smile on us. As far as Galatti and Neil slumping, yes we need thes guys to be more productive if we want to win something this year. Neil has been fighting illness and injury all year, hopefully he can have a week or two good luck and health and we can find out if this team can win again this year.

Yeah, I don't think Platty caught the Lakers by surprise. If you're not up for that one, you shouldn't be playing. Lakers-Cardinals are about as even as two teams can be at this point. Many felt that Plattsburgh should have won the game as they had numerous grade A chances. The fact that they don't bury them is who they are. But 5 on 5, I can't pick the better team. They both have few weaknesses and many strengths. Should they survive Genny and Potsdam, it should be a good one at the Stafford. I think the real prize with this past weekend was the Cards managing to avoid Genny, a very talented team.

that game could have gone either way,many chances for both sides I remember a few missed chances by both teams not due to the netminder either,more like open net and blocked or shot wide........YES will be a classic if both get thru to the finals....as for teams being even,I think just about the top 15 teams in the land can win any night,discipline is big and the netminder can sway a game either way,not to mention a bounce or to,but then again you make your own breaks:p

I sat directly behind the Platty bench and Bob was constantly harping on his players about how Z is terrible. I would agree that Oswego was fortunate to tie Friday night. On the other hand, Saturday night was a disappointment. Seemed like after we scored two quick goals we got sloppy. Potsdam has a nice goalie but he wasn't great. Numerous occasions the puck was left in the crease and not one Oswego player in sight. Gotta crash the net and get those dirty goals. From what I hear, Gertsakis is in a walking boot - ankle sprain.

Z is a good goalie,he is going to keep us in most games,dont think will steal to many games though....Your correct we tend to shot,watch then go after,we do need those dirty goals,which sometimes led to the pretty ones,thats what the botten line needs to do...we also hit their netminder in the bear patch in the middle of his jersey as well many times......plenty of hockey left boys

Gerk looked pretty good when he walked across the ice after the posdam games to take senior pics with the family,I think the rest will do him well and we will see him sat..as for Johnson and jackson?? Gotta say Rivait,Rags and Willis stepped it up.I think Federow and Scott need to step it up.

Scott is great from what I've seen, I think its between him and Adams for whose the fastest player on the ice. Both have a ton of speed. I'm glad to see Scott get some ice time

Mac Scott is the best D-man Oswego has as far as playing in his own end and keeping guys to the outside. I think Wills makes a ton of mistakes but he does a decent job of cleaning them up.

After watching the film from the Platty game on the Oswego website,we have problmes in our Dzone because the players are watching the puck waaaay to much and NOT marking their men,i.e.defensmen breaking in from the point , 2 men going after the puck carrier and leaving 2 guys open,head has to be on a swivel and be responsible for your man..I am sure the coaching staff will watch the film see this and adjustments will be made.

Honestly as bad as you think it is, that is what coaches/trainers do to psych their players up. Remember Rocky...Apollo's trainer never once said Rocky was good......all he did is harp about how bad he was !

I'm rooting for Brockport and Buff State tonight, Brockport is alot better than their record would indicate.

I have seen times in completely even games where the coaches are back there saying come on they can't play with us and saying certain players are no good. Also, a confident goalie can really get into a teams head so telling them over and over he is terrible is a pretty sound tactic in my opinion.

I bet you are! You won't see Brockport,they're lowest seed. I'll take it as it comes.

By no means do I think Zawadski is terrible, but I like Gilbert better to be honest. I've heard the Oswego players think Finney is better than Rouleau. Regardless of how our coaches or players feel about him, Cards still have to beat Zawadski to get that monkey off their back. I think it's safe to say that our current goalie tandem does not strike fear in to the Lakers like Bryan Hince did.
