Great game tonight...why I love college hockey. Two good teams just went at it with no "extras". The Center was both electric and fun, it's really good having all the Plattsburg fans there, just a happy crowd cheering their teams on. I wish every game could be like that. I do have a question...have I missed some injuries or something? No Bobby Gersatkis tonight and the defense really missed him, Rivait played alot of minutes and for the most part had one of his best games of the season. No Jackson or Johnson either and no Gilbert dressed, just going with two goalies the last few games. Missing Gersatkis and Johnson really put a strain on the defense but they held up.

2 very talented teams played a great game. I thought Coach E calling a time out was a mistake but his genius was spot on. That changed the entire complexity of the game and took Oswego off theirs. Not a Riviat fan, but he played his best game of his career and was the Rock on D last night. The Hulshof line was great again. The Botten line need to start producing. It was to bad the 1 of the 3 teams on the ice was absolute terrible last night in the 3rd period. I have never seen a Ref team go from letting them play to call titty tacky calls and the linesmen miss so many icing and off side calls in the third. They took the game away in the 3rd.
The games brings all sorts of old friends to the games. It was nice to talk with #5 and an old friend John Croyer. PSUC is very lucky to have such a knowledgeable baseball fan to help their Baseball program
The monkey is not off our back for we have to take care of business tonight and I am sure the Bears are very hungry.

They did Norm but there is no stat for taking care of the front of your own net and that is what got them again. The winner was soft but the first two were a result of guys not moving people from in front of the net.

Halfway home - great to see Drafty and OSU10. Shoutout to the Platty traveling student section. Good kids who made it feel like a tourney final. It's a tougher road now. Not so sure that isn't a better path for this team.

Again I am curious...would appreciated any information on why Gilbert isn't dressing and no Gersatkis, Johnson or Jackson. Are they all hurt?

Johnson & Jackson hurt in Geneseo game, Gilbert & Gersatkis hurt in practice was what I am hearing. All expected back, when?

I think the tougher road is the best path for this group. They seem like they thrive against tougher odds and competition and just fall a little flat when things get dicey against teams they should beat. They are being carried offensively by Hulshof, Montagna and Herlihey right now. Botten is being brought down by the slumping Galati and Neil. If they can snap out of it and the team defense can come around they will be able to make a run. Z has been good lately, last nights disastrous winner aside, but they have to help him out in front of the net and that falls on the forwards as well as the defensemen.

Since Conference Play picked back up January 23 - Conference games only (to add back NC, give Platty, Genny and Brock each one more win)

Plattsburgh 5-1-1
Oswego 7-1-1
Geneseo 4-2-1
Potsdam 6-2-1
Buff St 5-2-1
Brockport 3-5-1

Both games Wednesday should be interesting... Will Potsdam ride their momentum to the semi's? Which Genny team will show up? Buff St is 1-0-1 vs Genny this year... Will Brockport "chip: their way into the next round?

Turn back the clock 5-6 years. Somebody tells you Adrian and Trinity would be 1-2 and splitting the 1st place votes, an ECAC-NE team is ranked, and both MSOE and Lake Forest are receiving votes. Your response?

Nice weekend in Oz,great to meet LOu and OSU, and of course Lakont55 and Mike who works at the CC,diehard fans and into the team,wish things could have ended better.As for the Platty game,they had us here and there but mostly an even game,the reffing did take away from the game in the third,not sure why a few calls were made, but unfortunately the reffs are part of the game.I sat with a few Oswego 's players parents,very nice,class acts and very knowledgeable people.Yes a few key injuries,and a few players who I guess didnt cut the mustard in practice?? Adams??AS for the Montaga line AWESOME...the rest need to get gritty andwin the battles,I would not be surprised to see the Botten line broken up,but the coahces know their personalities better than we do, so who knows??The postdam game,ugh, we are not mean enough IFO our net,nuff said...the main thing that concerned me was that Da bears had 3 UNANSWERED goals,not good.final thought,did we pull the goalie to late,I believe we had the puck in the offensive end with 1;15 left and waited until 49 sec to pull,Zman was waving his stick for a long time it seems???..as stated, maybe another small wake-up call..but hey we did win it on the road last yr,so who knows........Lets hope the guys heal and come out smoking next game.
