Great video as always guys.
After Oswego scored that third goal, it was loud in there! It wasn't a huge crowd, but it was about as loud as it has been for a while. Being in the building was a great way to end the work day!

One heck of a game that put more greys on my head. Got to give the Bears a lot of credit for they did some things that we might learn from. Their fore and back checking was great all game long. The way they played their triangle in front of Z was really something to watch. I would have thought they would have scored more with that offense. With all the Bears had to go through in the last couple of days big credit to their coaching staff to keep them focused. The Bears coach displayed a lot of class and respect during the post game conference.
I think after todays game Coach G has a new career as a motivational speaker. Don't know what was said but very successful. Not a pretty win but in stage of season take them anyway they can get them. I think the team didn't know what to do because of the white jerseys.

It was a good game, Bowdoin's heavy forecheck threw Oswego off their game for a good portion and they looked defeated before Gosek called his timeout. Good thing they went back to playing their style of hockey, they sometimes show flashes of brilliance, if they could only keep it up for the rest of tournament they'll be very hard to beat. Bring on Babson.

Just a few more numbers...
Babson has not allowed more than 3 goals in a game all season. Very impressive.
These 2 teams are ranked 76th and 78th in penalty minutes this year out of the 78 Division II/III teams!
Power plays are both very dangerous at 2nd(Babson) and 5th(Oswego) ranked in the country.

This is interesting because the camera is on the visitors side the entire time. Did I miss something?

I rarely comment about broadcasting at all, but to be constructive, I did want to point something out as I know these guys are (very good and very dedicated) student broadcasters: I think they've got to slow the call down. Hockey broadcasters on radio shouldn't sound like auctioneers, and they approach that realm, especially on big plays. I don't think that the OSU guys deserved some of the negative comments they got, but I do think that can be an area of improvement, and wanted to mention it as it stood out to me.
But outside of that (very fixable) criticism, I was really impressed by the Oswego student media and what they can do on a game day--especially at short notice when plans get changed. I'm almost as impressed with them as I was the Lakers team itself and their comeback.

very well said. I will add a few....The fore check that Bowdin plays is very much like the teams out west seem to do very fast with 2 guys on,has given our d much trouble in the past and last night,also several of our dmen got UNDRESSED looking at the puck instead of taking the man..gert had a bad game nuff said...as for the 2 goalie interference pens i say bull****,titanic barley touched him and was pushed if anything,and perhaps was a make-up call...waterst. was nonsense this IS???? hockey not curling or basketball.......lets not forget a blatent trip missed right in front of the ref,man they have to step up the reffing.......Titanic AWESOME,what else can ya say,Botten can flat out shoot/handle the puck,could only imagine if Neil was playing with them.Crowd looked nice at the end...Gosek must have blackmailed the team at the timeout or something.WOW.Zman again was there when needed.steady,a few xtra rebounds.I dont think being on the road will be a problem at all,the Lakers have done excellent in the recent past..They will face 1 of the top goalies and defensive teams in the country,lets not shoot to many wide of the net, and bang for rebounds, no doubt,cant wait..

I might be the odd person out on this but I actually thought the team in black and white strips actually played a very good game. Yes there were a call that was missed but it was pretty even on the missed calls. I would be very happy to see this group at Babson. The calls that were called were blantet ones and obvisous. Remember all one can ask for is consistant calls and chaos.

gotta disagree on that one,they also swallowed their whistles a few times around the net ,then coughed it up later.....the zebras seem to interfere with the game instead of being in the background where they belong, in many games...also thought ?? I saw Gosek giving it to the ref after the game???

Eddie always has a discussion (sometimes heated) with the refs after the games. I think yesterday's refs took tripping out of the rulebook because both teams should have been called for it several times.

You are correct with your critique...that is my number one comment as well. What ends up happening is that he tries so hard to get a complete description in that it confuses the listener and you don't know what exactly happened. That was one of my problems when i did games on WNYO and WTOP half a century ago (OK, it was the early 90's, same difference). That should improve over time as our PBP guys work on that.

Oh yes me too, I love when players get a scoring chance taken away by an illegal play and the refs don't make the call. But hey at least they are letting the boys play. If a play takes away a scoring chance, interferes with the goalies ability to make the save or puts a player in physical danger than it should be called. I agree that the touchy feely stuff away from the play and away from the scoring areas should not be called as it destroys the flow of the game and turns it into a special teams fest.

On the brightside the NC$$ decided to have some integrity with the bracket and have Oswego play Babson and Norwich play Geneseo instead of two conference matchups to save travel costs.
Got my tickets for Babson.. anyone else going?
