How, Eddie had 24 guys that he never coached before and finished in third and beat the number 2 team and was close the second Genny game. You cannot tell me if Schultz had that kind of turnover he would have finished that high and played that close with the best teams. Everyone felt Geneseo was on the verge of being good this year, they had the talent and now they have the experience. I don't think many people thought Oswego was going to be that good after losing the financial aide and 80% of their roster.

They weren't all THAT good... They finished 10-5-1..Right about what I would have predicted at the beginning of the year..

You would have predicted it because you have faith in the coach. The only two guys in SUNYAC that could have had that kind of record with all the turnover and the financial aide situation are Eddie and Bob. Schultz won it last year with a 11-4-1 record and a 1-3 record against Platty and Oswego and he had only nine newcomers. Eddie was 14-2 with a Senior heavy team and Crushed Genny one and had a tight game and yet Schultz got it for being decent with a few key injuries.

While winning the award is nice, I bet Ed would take a SUNYAC Championship for his kids over that any day (who got the last laugh so to speak). Anyone with any sense of hockey knowledge knows who the coach of the year was.....no im not turning into a Gosek lover, but you have to respect what he did. I dont think the talent is anywhere near what he's been accustomed to, but this group is one of the most "team" oriented ive seen in MANY years. Works hard every night (for the most part) and when they take a night off you get a 4-0 Buff State, loss to Freddy, ect. Like Emery, or Emory for those others, Oswego wanted it more and sacrificed (aka did the little things). 2014 Plattsburgh reminded me of those high talent OSU teams that depended on talent to win games, and when faced off with a team with more emotion, would sometimes come up short.

Also....keep in mine this was the same group of awards that had Carr over Chewy.....probably the same committee that put Norwich in over....jk

I know the award really means nothing, I just like to the right people get the awards. Carr over Cadieux was a farce Just like Jordan Oye over Ian Boots in 2011, Oye wasn't even the best player on Fredonia (Bryan Ross) let alone in the league.

We can agree to disagree then.. Gosek did a great job, and sure the talent isn't what it used to be, but he didn't bring in scrubs either. Congrats to Schultz on bringing a regular season championship to Genny for the first time in over 20 years.

Not only was it a safety problem,
But the governor declared a state of emergency for Oswego County. That means all non essential state employees HAD to go home. The campus center was closed and locked up at 5:30pm. They could have played, but there would have been no lights, no crowd and no one to resurface the ice.

I have been communicating with the station since 2:35....they are on now EDIT - they had a system failure with two cameras down and audio down and livestream down shortly after they were on air on cable....all should be ok now...too bad, the pre game show was quite the planned production...

I have it. First time watching: great pic, multi-cam, replays. I know many have talked about how good the presentation is before, but this is the first chance I've had to see it. Great view of the game.

Too bad about the pre-game. I was looking forward to it. Bad luck.

Quick random question: do all SUNYAC schools put the player names on the back of the sweaters? As an announcer, it's sure a lot easier when the teams do. Only Trinity and Colby I believe do that here in the NESCAC.

The QF game at Babson has been moved to Sunday at 3pm, per the NCAA.

Not every team does, but a lot more do now as opposed to when I started in 2009. I don't believe Buff State or Cortland wear names, off the top of my head.
