$10 for 6 is insane. And I like Newcastle. Hell, I won't pay $10 for 6 for Paulaner Hefeweizen, and that's one of my favorites.

I think the going rate around here for Newcastle (at a reasonable store) is about $8 for 6.

Reason why I asked is because Meijer has 6 packs of Newcastle on sale for $7.49, along with 6 packs of IPA for $6.99. And I just haven't had a good beer in awhile...

I'm not out of whiskey, I got to choose from Maker's Mark, Evan Williams, Evan Williams Single Barrel, Seagrams 7 and Knob Creek. I chose Maker's Mark.

Found out that a co-worker (non-work injury) is gonna be out another month, which means way more work for about 4 of us. Ugh. That is why I'm having a beer right now. I consider it a small appeasement to my body, who wants to kick my arse right now.

I saw the Hoptober at the store, but gave in to the regular Fat Tire Amber. I wasn't in the mood for an Octoberfest type beer tonight. Maybe I'll pick some up for Sunday, as I'm sure I'll continue my OC Octoberfest Mini-tour when I'm there for the games.

I haven't had the Arrow, but I do love me the rest of those, especially the Trippel.

Once winter sets in, then the darker beers usually win out.

For any of you in the northern Twin Cities Metro, if you haven't already been to Barley John's Brewpub in New Brighton, it's worth a trip. Good food and darned tasty beer, plus you can buy 1/2 gallon growlers. Had the Wild Brunette brown ale for dinner, and Dad had their oatmeal stout - both decent.

Picked up a Saranac "Twelve Beers a Falling" twelve pack this weekend. Good stuff. Includes their Black Forest, IPA, Pumpkin Ale (quite tasty), Octoberfest, Irish Red Ale, and Caramel Porter (yum).

Ok, so I was in the mood for something cheap last weekend while playing some poker and I went with High Life over Leine's. Not sure how to put this the right way, but let's just say the next day's air results were none to pleasing for my family.
