Re: Official Drinking Thread Pt 5: Four Horsemen + Jerry: It's called The Voltron!

I have no idea what you're referring to.

Riiiight! :)

I realize now that my comment could be read as something like, "Remember that time . . ." Better writing from me would have made it clear that that stretch of Allston is merely famous for revelry, and not any intimation that we've ever seen or heard of each other beyond this board. (Plus we're far enough apart in age that if we HAD been at a party together it would look poorly on me.) (Or good-ly. Who knows!)

Really cause I always remember quality beer when I drank at ur house, although it couldve been Busch light was the second keg of the night and by then I was feeling pretty good
Always the best way to go at a party. Start out with some of the good stuff, get bit of a buzz going and then go to the cheap stuff that will just get everybody wasted.

I can't believe my ill-advised boots full of Busch Light started such conversation.

Seriously though, don't do it. I feel like I have committed a serious crime. Spaten, Warsteiner, Beck's, or Hacker-Pschorr should be in boots. Not Busch Light.

Widmer Brothers Brewmaster Release '09, a Belgian style ale. Very good.

I'm having some old engine oil. Complex stuff. ;)

My initial impression is that it's the Scottish take on a classic English porter, but a little lighter on the tongue and a little more intense in flavor. Very tasty, if I do say so myself.

Maker's Mark and only Maker's Mark for me tonight. Several of them actually, now I'm back at the hotel and ready for sleep.:)

That stuff is delicious. I had it once and haven't been able to find it since.

Started with a Premo Showerbeer tonight. OT every night at work this week helped contribute to that one. (not that I mind OT, it's the type of OT, back-breaking work, that does it)

After that? No idea. Whiskey, or Fat Tire. Thinking whiskey. I worked for and deserve it. :)

I'm rocking some Jameson which while not that fancy, is working quite well.

Pilsner Urquell and Peroni tonight. I am feeling great. Time for bed, so I can get up and watch the Gophers get crushed by Cal. w00t!

Also, Powers is where it is at.

Nice pour! Boy do I love them black & tans. Half & half's, too.

I'd be up for one.

Kicking myself for not getting an earlier start out of da UP - I could have stopped at the winery that apparently makes kick-* cider and mead. :(

On the other hand, I did pick up sixers of KBC Brown, KBC Widowmaker Black and New Glarus Yokel. :D

Heh. First time I tried making them a year and a half or so ago, I mistakenly thought I could use the premo Guinness ES. Oops. :o

I quickly learned my lesson. Now, it's Bass, Guinness Draught slowly off the back of a spoon, and a perfect pour every time. I'm still amazed how well they stay separated until you take your last couple sips of the Guinness half. :)

My favorite time of the beer year has finally come.
