I'll say this: the Baltika I drank sat in the Techies' fridge for the better part of 6 weeks, and it tasted just fine to me.

I had some Macallan 12 last night. Overpaid for it, but sometimes you just want a nice scotch.
 
Had Shiner Black Lager last night. Very meh and is now the second umimpressive Shiner beeh I've had. I may never give a 3rd one a chance.

Then why'd you settle for Macallan 12? :p

I have a nice bottle that I got during the holidays. It's quite lovely.

Great Divide Double IPA. 8%. Tasty.

Topped off with some Surly Furious Ale, and my night is complete. Good way to celebrate getting the big deal closed today.

Starting St. Patty's Day a little early - hey it's only another hour and a half right? ;)

I got a bit of Jameson to try, so I'm having my first-ever shot + cube of it. Compared to bourbon, it's a lot more bitter; the only sweetness is in the finish and it's modest. I like it, actually. :cool:

Three good friends of mine from high school are doing the homebrew thing, and I like this plan. :D They offered to bring me in on the deal - $30 for a batch of about two cases, $50 for the absolute most expensive ones? Hell yes, I want in.

And I'm not sure which variety they'd just brewed from Northern Brewer, but it was sort of halfway between Newcastle and a porter. Tasty, whatever it was.

I'm still disappointed that the GPL tailgate didn't have the Bourbon Imperial Ale homebrew this year. It's made with Maker's Mark. Yes, it tastes like an angel's halo.
