Camo Black Ice: it gets you wasted. For cheap. Just, don't smell it. Or taste it. Or try to drink it warm.

If you must taste it, put a lime in it. That makes it almost like very thick Corona as brewed by your friendly Dow Chemical plant, with fewer overtones of arse but with a hint of landfill and liver cancer.

It's a beer called "Camo." Just saying.

And apparently, I'm getting a lot of beer this weekend. Thanks to bbdl and BPH, I will have a nice sampler selection of KBC and New Glarus. :D :D :D

I'm not sure it's a beer.

Eh. I should just stick to Baltika anyway. :D

Its been in our fridge since MN weekend. I need to make some sort of deadline for it to be gone or else it is going to "evaporate". ;) :D

Agreed. Because she'll (and FM) will get another one at the F5, and it will be cracked there, for sure. And then we can let the SENANICANS begin!

I have the 3 day rule in my apartment, any alcohol that is left unclaimed after 3 days I consider mine and will start drinking it promptly

Truth. And last I heard, 'diva's Baltika hasn't been cracked yet.:(

Well JFC, woman, get on that. (Hint: start off with a Spotted Cow to dull the palate.)

This weekend. At the very least, I'll bring it back with me.

New Holland's Cabin Fever Brown Ale is definitely more potent than its purported 6.25% ABV. 9 or 10% seems more appropriate.

I might have to remember that, and see if I can find it around here.

Good luck, unless you know any places in MN that carry New Holland - it's a Michigan brew.

But yeah, I was feeling it after only one bottle. That doesn't happen to me unless it's at least 8%.

Hence my saying "see if I can find it around here."

Many stores have started rapidly expanding on the Oberon (Bell Brewing, correct?) stuff in the past year or two (2+ years ago, Oberon was nowhere to be found), and also are trying to find brands that other stores don't carry, to bring in business. It's been a slow process, but at least the variety is picking up.

I am currently enjoying a Leinie's Classic Amber. Heard good reviews, and they are correct. It is delicious.

Saw some Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA at Econo, but it was 9 something for a 4 pack. A little steep for me, but it does have an abv of 9.0, so you probly get your money's worth.

The Classic Amber is indeed good. The 1888 Bock is awesome, btw.

If you're going to get Dogfish Head, find it somewhere where you know they rotate the stock on occasion. Not that it matters as much with a pale ale (especially one that pale), but I've had more than a few high-priced, skunked beers from UP retailers.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Classic Amber. The Fireside Nut Brown tastes too artificial though, but the 1888 makes up for that.

That is very much worth its price, but you'd better love hops if you buy it, and I mean love them. It's one of my favorite double IPAs.

Econo rotates it's stock well enough, for the record. It's mostly the imports from the Keweenaw Co-op that you have to be more wary of.

Two words - Blue Max. Not saying they'll have it, but with ~1,100 beers, even if they don't, you should find something worthwhile.

Unfortunately, it's in Burnsville.

I suggest you all get some Schell's Snowstorm post haste! I want to say this year's version is a Baltic Porter? It is for now (since the style changes from year to year) by far my favorite winter brew, and I aint lying.

I really liked the Fireside Nut Brown, actually. I don't know if I've ever tried the 1888.

I am so addicted to White Russians right now. I don't think I want to drink anything else!
